I heard references to this story a few times before but never got the details. Could one tell me the details of this?

A lot of people think Hakeem Olajuwon is real easygoing because they don't see him yelling much and because of that nice-sounding Nigerian accent. But Hakeem has a temper. At practice one day, when the Rockets were supposed to be working on free throws, Hakeem takes the ball and starts shooting jumpers. So one of his teammates, a rookie then, he takes the ball from the net after Hakeem hits a jumper and he walks to the free-throw line to work on his free throws, like he's supposed to. "Give the Dream his change," Hakeem says, which means give him the ball, 'cause he made the shot. "But, dude," the rookie says, "we're supposed to be working on free throws." Hakeem walks over to him and slaps him across the face. Whop! He said, "You don't do that! You must always give the Dream back his change!" So yeah, the Dream does have a temper. LOL, I think that's a GOOD quality for a coach. As they say in the NBA, "make 'em pay for it"
I very much like the content of the articlae. Guys dont worry too much about the grammer..et.al...Its very likely that someone else (other than Steve) has written it. Being a previous sport journalist (I have had privilege to write several such articles. Here's my take. It's very likely that the article was physically written by someone else (most sportsmen's articles are ghost written). From my experience different sportmen have differing style of content particiapation.....from giving ghost writer 2-3 key points and the writer makes up the rest to someone who literally dictates the whole thing, but the ghostwriter cleans it from a presentability factor. Based on the narration of the personal stories involved here I would say Steve at provided 70-80% of the content. (Which BTW would be much higher than most fo the other sportspersons!!)
Statment from Steve, The most important thing that Dream taught me as far as basketball is concerned -- and it's something I've really been conscious of this season -- is to create space between the defender and myself so I can get my shot off. If only Dream would have told him to pass out of double and tripple teams. Not that Hakeem knew how to do that early on.
It was a good article based solely on Steve's sincere expression of being a fan and teammate of Dream...
This statement from Steve concerns me. A lot of us aren't familiar with what we're trying to do. RUDY!!!!!!
my signature. is hakeem is my role model. anyone else think he jacked that shyt off ME just wondering
