No need to respond, but I find it difficult (sad?) to believe that anyone would think that athletes (or any human being) should not let personal issues (such as death or health related issues of family members) affect their job performance.
look, mcgrady had a stretch of of a bunch of games over 30 points right? that was right before yao came back right? did his "mother in law", the quotes are because he's not married" have parkinson's then? of course she did, but as soon as mcgrady has some troubles, we here about personal problems. hadn't those deaths happened when he was playing well, didn't they happen last season? but when he's not playing well, we hear about them. I mean com'on, you guys will buy anything this guy sells, and that's what's sad.
The Knicks played one of the worst games I have ever seen last night. I've never seen a Larry Brown team play such weak defense. SA shot over 60% FOR THE GAME. Finley scored 22 going 8 for 8 and 5 for 5 from three. this one game after Arenas went off for 46 on 18 shots.
I wanted to watch SF3 on the Knicks, but it's just too painful to watch. The O isn't that bad(though it's not good), but the D is so horrible. Not much intensity put out there and it degenerates as the game goes along. It's like they know they are going to lose so they just give up.
