Iverson was sticking out his tongue to taunt the fan who was buggin him.

Since when does Reggie Miller get sympathy outside of Indiana??? Are you kidding me?? Miller is the WORST player in the NBA when it comes to "dishin' it out."

I guess the fan was a midcourt, and at the free throw line, and Jermaine O'Neal, and Travis Best are the fans that were taunting him. . . .

I agree about Reggie Miller, that doesn't give Iverson free reigns to trash the entire team. If you can't take it, don't dish it out. If you want to beat other teams by ridiculous scores, don't come on to another teams BBS and complain because you got beat badly yourself. I'm sure you were laughing at Knicks fans when Philly ran the score up on them, now we're laughing at you! [IMG]

I think this was done out of frustration. The Rockets are playin sub .500 ball this season. When they get an opportunity for a blowout, esp. against the number one team in the league, they are going to feel exhuberent and do some things that they wouldn't do if they had been playing the Bulls, or example. This is human nature, not a lack of class.

If the reports about Steve replying "You lost. You lost. You lost." to Brown's protests, then Steve was wrong. No need to make the situation worse, just walk off the floor.

I don't have a problem with this if Steve did it in the correct way. Obviously Brown exploded in outrage from this last play, and he probably started b****ing at Steve and the rest of the Rockets.

If that is the case, then all Steve was doing was trying to show coach Brown that he needs to stop focussing on a bullsh*t play that happened in the last second of the game, and focus on the fact that they lost, and that is the bottom line. Brown was just looking for any reason to not face the fact that his team sucked it up bad.

Of course Philly is going to make a big deal out of this, it takes the focus away from how badly they played.

I agree with CBFC and Live that this is stupid.

But, I also don't understand why a coach would really care about Langhi being stupid.

Francis is [IMG] for exacerbating it.

To Philly's coach: "Cry, baby Cry... make your mother sigh, you're old enough to know better, so cry, baby cry" --Beatles

    Way to go DL!!
Good to see him get some points no matter how they come!

If the team needs to keep a killer instinct for 48 mpg to win night in and night out... then so be it.

The team certainly shouldn't lift it up and start being lazy just out of respect for the other team's laziness, that's bs. This team has the "eye" right now... that's all that counts.

maybe Francis was thinking about that Duke -Maryland game where the Blue Devils came back to win despite down by 10 with 1 minute left in the game.

Langhi scored in the final 0.5 seconds. And thats caused the hoopla?
Its not like they killed anyone or broke Iverson's knees or ankles.

These Philly guys need to lighten up.

Show class but letting the clock run out? Why? Whats wrong in getting a guy some points, a guy that hardly ever plays!

Dammit, this is professional basketball, not some kids league. I don't see why my team should take it easy because your team was getting whooped. The fact that Philly's players were walking off the floor at the final buzzer was a microcosm of the entire game, the Rockets came to play from buzzer to buzzer, Philly didn't.

First off, Philly fans are some of the toughest in ANY league on their teams. Their talk shows are absolutely brutal. Many consider them far worse than NYC and rivaled only by Raider Fan for sheer nuttiness.

So, to suddenly suggest that the 76ers or the fans were insulted by the Rockets is just silly. I could care less if a guy scores a bucket with time ticking out and a huge lead. They are grown men. They should be able to handle it.

Running up the score, is leaving in your starters to score at will against a beaten team. Letting a bench sitting rookie get in the stat sheet is not running up the score.

Nice point, OT. Speaking of starters. The paper wrote that Francis has to stay in because the Mooch screwed up his ankle or something. How is mooch? IS he going to play tonight?
