This is one statement where you are implying that people want a white guy at PG, then another post later you said there are no pure "black" PGs.

So if you are not referencing race, what are you referencing?

    Points per shot:
    A. Miller = 1.06
    SF = 0.97

First, that'snot that big a difference, and second, who cares?

    Andre miller's 3 point shooting = 18%

I can't overstate how important that is to the Rockets offense these days.

Those are the kinds of shots that he's going to get because Yao is being triple teamed underneath.

Denver doesn't have a dominant post player so he can get inside....and he needs to if he is going ot be able to score. Notice how ineffective he was with Elton Brand playing inside last year.

I specifically asked you to point out where I said people don't like Steve because he's black. I never denied refering to race in this thread, my comment is about pure point guards and perceptions in general. And specifically, Andre Miller.

I guess that being a rookie certainly helps. If Hinrich makes no progress in 5 years, no one will pimp for him no more.

Francis's defense is fine. His offense is what we are wondering if he is going to adjust or not. It's just crap.

PGs I will take over SF:

    Jason Kidd
    Steve Nash
    Stephon Marbury
    Mike Bibby
    Sam Cassell

Above is one for one trade. And I don't mind 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 trades involving following PGs:

    Jason Williams
    Hinrich
    Tinsley
    Brant Barry

That will be the deal of the year. Don't see why Sonics will EVER want to do it.

That's 10 percent difference. If SF got 10 percent better, i.e. 44%, I would applaud for his shooting.

We have Cat/JJ to shoot Yao's kickouts. SF is supposed to do that in only rare occasions.

If one more person mentions assists without mentioning turnovers, or vice versa, I will just vomit.

You can not mention one without the other.

Stephon Marbury, the selfish, one-dimensional ball hog, is averging over 9 assists with just over 3 TO's.

Francis has never and can never average Marbury passing numbers.

Steve just isn't cut out for this.

Right now, he's not a SG or a PG, and we're trying to mold him into a PG. I feel he's closer to being molded into a star SG than a star PG.

    You mean having a 2 playing 3
    and a 5 playing 4 is not a problems

the funny thing is. . .
    EVERY POST I SEE
Is not REPLACE STEVE WITH A PURE PG

it is REPLACE STEVE with a pure pg AND SOMETHING ELSE GOOD

    Which to me means

    BARRY + Allen > SF
    but
    DOES Allen > SF alone?

Folx says we need Hinrich AND CHANDLER/CURRY
No one says HINRICH ALONE IS Better than steve

    Which makes me think

    STEVE + CURRY > HINRICH + CURRY
    STEVE + BARRY > ALLEN + BARRY
    STEVE + RASHEEN > MILLER + RASHEED

Most of these trades are dreamcasting bullsh*t anyway

We all realize 5 offensive boards a night ain't gonna cut it
    WE NEED BOARD HELP
    I don't have the numbers

BUT I WILL BET MONEY that the
    Desparity between SECOND CHANCE POINTS
    is MUCH LARGER THAN
THe Desparity between points off turnovers

So . . . FORWARD HELP is #1 Priority NOT GETTING RID OF STEVE FRANCIS

I honestly. . . IT seems to be . .. that JVG or someone
has taken the DUNK out of the game
NO ONE FRICKING DUNKS BUT CATO!!!

    END RANT!

    Rocket River

I only get the Racial twinge when the _________ is stupid dumb ignorant stuff comes out. . but i leave it alone

We dont' get a lot of offensive reboudns because JVG stresses that they don't go out of their way to grab em - he'd rather have better transitional defense.

Figures... JVG would rather have anything with the word "defense" in it over something that has the word "offensive" in it.

    I'm down with this.

    Nash
    JJ
    {Fill-in}
    KMart
    Yao

could compete...the only question would be defensively...not sold on either Nash or KMart on that end, though Nash can't be much worse than Francis and KMart can't be much worse than Taylor, if at all.

Would like to keep Cato personally, as well.

    It's a pipe dream, though.

You seem to fight tooth and nail to defend Steve and his shortcomings. If you use anymore Caps I think I'm going to be sick.

MAYBE, the reason people want 2 players when they talk about trading Steve is because of his contract. IT IS A MAX CONTRACT YOU KNOW?

You can get the same crappy 16/6 on 40% shooting for a lot less than the max...and the rest of that space could be used for someone else. I'm sure thats one of the rationales behind it...but feel free to go into your typical rants of CAPS and small case if you so wish.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'll be happy when Steve is gone so this issue will finally come to an end.
