If we weren't speaking of the franchise who blew apart one of the greatest teams in history and traded Elton Brand, I'd agree with you.

He should be our Steve Nash, but less of a punk, and not so.... Canadian. Psh. ;)

Don't know why Minnesota or Houston would neccessarily do this, but that usually doesn't matter here, so...

    Francis + fill-in

    for

    Troy Hudson + Wally Szczerbiak

    No, I won't do it.

How about Francis, CM5 for Ray Allen, Lewis and sign Barry as FA???

I'll take K-Mart and Nash. Trade anyone but J.J. and Yao.

I saw Sonics game numerous times this season.

Damn, their backcourt is sooo good. Barry, Ray Allen, Flip Murry and Lewis.

If only we can combine Sonic's backcourt with Rox' frontcourt:( :( :(

Well, with Cuban paying so many high dollar contracts, he might lowball Nash on his extension...

I guess Jason Kidd doesn't count.

PGab, you are way to sensitive about race.

    Sam Fisher.

    I love JWill's game.

The guy is a great example of why Steve must go...he embraced Hubies system and gets better every day.

The difference is that Jwill was always a good passer and Francis has never been a good passer.

Oh...and before Pgab whines about it again....Jwill is not black.

    :)

Sure it doesn't matter to anyone else, but Pgab seems to think it drives everyones opinions of Steve....as if the 4 turnovers a game, 38% shooting, and horrible defense are not enough.

That's fine, but there is some reason why people are pimping Kirk Hinrich like he is basketball jesus, when his numbers are not much better than Francis' at all. You can't complain about Francis' shooting and turnovers when Hinrich isn't much better. The only thing Hinrich is doing significantly better than Francis this year is 3 point shooting. That's pretty much it. Now that's important in the Rockets offense, no doubt....but does it mean he's a future star like people have said he is? come on .

Race does matter in b-ball as far as perceptions go. Why do you think Jason Williams was called white chocolate?

I know this might be unpopular but I’m going to say it anyway, what about derrick fisher from the Fakers?

No trade just maybe a FA pickup, is he going to be out there this summer?

Sam was the one making the point, I was just backing him up. Some of the statements in this thread are ridiculous, like Andre Miller isn't a true point.

Someone define "pure point guard" in order to define "pure black point guard".

I define it as someone that excels at both distributing the ball to create offensive opportunities for teammates, as well as for doing his own scoring.

I think there are quite a few guys that would fit the bill.

    Marbury
    Cassell
    Davis
    Payton
    Bibby

    PGab,

You know danged well that I would take Dre Miller over Francis, as for Hinrich, I don't know about him, maybe it is just that Steve has been here 5 years and people are tired of him, and Kirk is the next shiny object that the fans are chasing.

I do like his 3 point shooting, but his numbers are not all that great.

Miller on the other hand is exactly the type of PG the Rockets need....

Pleas point out one post where I wrote that people don't like steve because he's black. I know why people don't like steve, my whole deal is people don't appreciate what he brings.

My statements were solely based on this thread. you're just as sensitive about race as I am, you just don't know it yet.

I just don't care about Race, all I care about is watching a team that has a chance to win the championship.

And, IMHO, the make up of this team is not one that will work, and the primary problem is Steve.

Nash is certainly more of a true point that Andre Miller. Nash is always looking to pass first. Miller is a very very strong and likes to penetrate and create for himself. Purer than like a Marbury but definitely not as pure as Nash.
