Probably just words. Do any of us really see the French getting down there and helping out the fight? I certainly don't. The French are like a chihuahua... tiny little buggers that bark a lot, compensating for their lack of stature, but never really attack/hurt anyone.

iirc, france gave us the second most support during the start of the war in afghanistan. just because they opposed the iraq war doesn't mean they haven't assisted in others.
The anti-(insert country name) sentiment I see regularly on this website is something that I find very bothersome and disturbing. If this thread was about Poland, it would be "Do they even have a military? What are they going to do, throw sausages at them?" If it was about Mexico, it would be "What are they going to do, throw tacos at them?" If it was Canada, there would be a condescending wisecrack about the maple syrup regiment or something. Etc.., etc... Why do so many people feel the need to make fun of every other country? Does it stem from some sort of insecurity about yourselves or what?
