Look what Yao brings to Staffs in Houston especially in this economic time. It's almost a blessing.

To summarize, Fran was laid off by Chron due to economy and now he is a reporter with Tian Sports. Yang Yi gave him the job one week after he left Chron.

Just introduced himself to the readers of Titan.

Said he was let go (with many others) by chron last week, then Wang Meng (Titan reporter based in Houston) and Yang Yi brought him to Titan as another Titan reporter in Houston.

    Other than that, nothing new.

Reminds me of that episode of New Radio when the boss wrote that book that didn't sell anything in the states so he had it translated to Japanese and it was a huge hit because of the crazy translations. It sold so well he had it translated form Japanese back to English to release in the states again :D

Fran is lucky the Rockets have Yao. Otherwise it's likely he will never get another well paying writing job at 60 years old.

It's ironic because he has always voted against Yao for all nba teams.

When Jonathan votes for Yao for 1st team, Fran votes for Yao for 2nd team.

When Jonathan votes for Yao for 2nd team, Fran votes for Yao for 3rd team or not at all.

When Jonathan votes for Yao for 3rd team, Fran doesn't vote for Yao.

Now Yao comes to the rescue of Fran when he is down on his luck.

"Call it the Yao Ming Effect, a phenomenon where the towering Rockets' center and his deserving All-Star credentials pull along a freight train filled with his, uh, less-than-glittering ......"

Depending on how popular Titan is, I could see a huge decline in the number of T Mac jerseys being sold in China. :)
