That's the deal. This has Morey written all over it.

CD, who should have been the Rockets' voice of reason, got rolled over by West instead.

Rudy Gay better be an EG style bust, the Rockets had better win multiple championships soon, or this trade will rot the core of the Rockets. I'm afraid that the first stinch of the rotting was inhaled by all of us last night.

my head hurts just thinking about RyBo. JVG manages to give that tool significant minutes, yet is too scared to play a rook like Gay.

8 teams also passed on Amare Stoudamire. i'm not saying Gay is Stoudamire, but i'd sure like to find out.

And 9 teams passed on Paul Pierce, 9 on Joe Johnson, 8 on T-Mac, 12 on Kobe, etc.

This draft reminds me of the 2000 one when once Dermar Johnson was taken at 6, the Rockets just threw the towel and took Przibyla at and then exchanged him for Jason Collier withe the Bucks at 15.

Look at the players taken after Collier; Magloire Q. Richardson, D. Mason, Mo Peterson,... we could have had one of them but Rudy T. wanted a fit/need player instead of talent.

Just tell CD that the coach has to do the coaching and the GM should rule parsonnel moves.

If McGrady has such a limited basketball life span during the peak playing life of Yao Ming then it about time to trade him while the going is still good. This reasoning should not be used by JVG to cover the fact that he refuses to coach and play young players. The fact that Les lets him get away with all of this means that the rest of the Management, including CD have been placed in a position of lying-------younger, faster and more athletic players.
Trying to get back to 45-50 wins means that JVG is only looking to keep his head above water, if he was really going to make a big push and put agreat vet team together he would be talking 60-65 games as thats what is needed to be a contender. To be great we have not to be afraid to take chances, if we had JVG in 2002 he would have traded away Yao Ming as he came to us with us taking a big gamble. What would have happened if Roy had been our pick? Would he be traded using the same arguement ?
LES there is an oudour in your offiice this morning!!!!
JVG there is a stink in your office, just like the one thats been there since you arrived!
CD The flames of Hell are approaching!!
Morey- For the sake of mankind use your brains and put your foot down!!
We need young fresh blood on our team as well as the experienced player.

With Van Gundy, future trades for this organization are only going to make us older and more methodical. Van Gundy can't coach rookies, young players or players with certain personalities. That is why we need to get rid of him to start fresh. We as a team are only pigeon-holed to certain players (the talent pool is much less). While other teams can draw on players from a broader range of ages, character and experience.

Any coach that cant or wont coach rookies dosent deserve to be in the league. JVG dosent need to look any further than Stan Van Gundy(Wade) to realize what impact a rookie can have on your team.

What a sad position it is to look at the Clippers and think: "that could have been us."

    Should have hired Dunleavy.

(maybe we can still get his son)

Another guy asked the question what if JVG was our coach in 2002? Probaly would of seen Yao as a big stiff and traded him away for a role player. JVG is runing the future of this team. I say the hell with him, go back to TNT JVG

London's Burning is always one of my favorite posters.

I am extremely disappointed that the Rox management is so short-sighted.
