you will always be a rookie.

hakeem took the rockets to the nba finals in his second year and is twice as quick as howard with the ball handling of a guard.

dream has taken down jabbar, shaq, ewing, and robinson in his path. all of those players are hall of famers. shaq will be there for sure.

Tinman you know exactly what's going on. I guarantee this guy is in his early/mid twenties. To make a comparison about players it helps to have watched both of them in their prime. Dream could face you up, take you in the post, pull you away to 15" with his jumper and on top of all that he would shut you down on the other end. Hell!! dude would come out on PNR's and steal the ball from point guards!!

I dont know how long or what game you have watched, but Howard is a not a better athlete than dream. Also Williams drags Paul through the dirt everytime they play, yet most will take paul as the #1 pg in the league. I can and most can and will agree that dream would drag yao through the dirt. If you took Dream and put him on this team with this talent, this would be the best team in the league bar none. Dream didnt play with a tracy type of player till his 11th yr in the league. He carried a team to the finals. We never had to bring in a guy like artest because we lacked toughness. Its not even close, and i really dont know why i'm responding. I guess its because some newbies really think yao is anywhere close to dreams level. Yao is a very good player, Hakeem was a great player. Ray Allen wa a very good player, Jordan was a great player. There is a hugge difference.

well we could argue about what exactly does "metioned in the same sentence" mean and imply.

was talking about skillsets not accomplishments wise.

and it wasn't me that was comparing and "mention in the same sentence" jefferson yao olajuwon shaq, it was yao himself, the youtubers, and the media who wanted to hype yao ming up.

i love it when an 99er is willing to reply to my posts! it's an honor, i mean it :D

when has yao been mentioned in the same breath as hakeem and shaq? i've never heard of that.

al jefferson is very very good, but that's all he is. we're talking about 2 of the 4 greatest centers of all time right here in dream and shaq.

people underrate what kind of athlete hakeem was. how would you explain his steals? his ability to run fast breaks handling the ball at times? his ability to play from the mid-range, face up and take his man off the dribble?

all i see dwight howard does is dunk off misses, dunk of alley oops, and the occasional post ups.

it's a disgrace people think dwight howard can be an all time great. shows you the lack of skills at the big men position today. the last great big men was the prime shaq in LA and prime duncan of 4-5 years ago.

Yes and Dream caught up with the speedy Sacramento mayor on a fast break to come out of nowhere and block his shot.

KJ fell on his @$$ and looked up in absolute shock after that one.

Also, the fact that one dunk was the basis for his statue outside the arena in Phoenix shows how great Dream was.

You have to remember though, Shaq didn't have the moves he does now or in his prime when he first came to the league. Also he's decent close to the basket, but he never had the range of Dream, Robinson or maybe even Ewing. He played a lot like Howard. It also helps that the center position during Shaq's time was a joke and he may be the only player who all game went to the line after fouling the defender. Shaq's great, but there should be some persepective.

Dwight is young and will be great if he can come up with consistent offensive moves other than dunks. The fact that he seems to want to be great will take him a long way.

Hey smartass, I never said Yao would outschool Hakeem.

Some idiot said hakeem would drop 50 on Yao and I simply said Yao will have tougher time defending him since he is 7'6. But Yao too would be unstoppable on offensive end going against him.

Also you say Hakeem would make this team the best in nba? He would if he got the ball. No one can win anything with me-mac. So stop talking like you can see things. Come back with more dumb stuff?

I appreciate you older folks think you know all and spend all your life in this forum but dont tell me what is possible and what is not, who is more athletic and who is not and certainly you dont tell me who is better player and who is not. Everybody has their point of view and some prefer coke to pepsi. So certified Yao haters like u and tinman can cry all they want but you aren't moving a hair for all I care.

Stick to your past, Im all about the present and future.
