i don't have the exact news articles, but tracy and landry were diagnosed with the SAME knee injury in 07-08. tmac came back early and had to re-sit b/c we were struggling at that time. landry sat out for like the longest time. this board was wondering why it was taking so long. shane battier was listed day-to-day to start the season. usually, day-to-day depends on how the player feels and what the player tells the doctor. what do you think?
Tmac screwed around with the organization and the fans he was the MASTER OF PUPPETS he makes Rockets fans feel sorry for him like a HARVESTOR OF SORROW the wishy washy status of his health, his "I wish I played with" comments to SI, and his attitude toward the team made him the UNFORGIVEN I wish people would stop comparing him to Kobe, Kobe is a much better player, SAD BUT TRUE The Rockets and their fans just want playoff success, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS without Tmac last year, the Rockets were able to RIDE THE LIGHTNING to the 2nd round of the playoffs! They played as ONE team to SEEK AND DESTROY other teams It was amazing, Rockets fan thought it was THE DAY THAT NEVER COMES it might be Tmac's last season, his contract is FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS If he leaves, good luck to him WHEREVER HE MAY ROAM
I don't hate McGrady, but I don't go to such lengths to defend him that I become delusional. If you think he cares about this team any more than Battier, Landry, Brooks, or Scola, you're kidding yourself. McGrady may be "tough" for coming back early, but he sure didn't do anyone any favors (including himself).
I dunno... I consider the cutoff for "old" Metallica to be Garage Days Re-Revisited. Everything from ...And Justice for All onward leaves me cold... ...almost as cold as Charley Rosen.
That doesn't necessarily make him tough, If anything that makes him a bit stupid for doing that. Playing through injuries is tough, I agree on that part. However, there is no point of playing through injuries, If you aren't going to hustle, play defense, try, or play with heart on there. It seems like Tracy McGrady playing injured is Tracy McGrady. That being said, This poster nailed it right on the head explaining why T-Mac is soft. It's one thing to be fragile and it's another to be soft. One of the reasons why Tracy is soft is because he's fragile, but there is a lot more reasons than that. He's pretty much soft in the same sense Vince Carter is soft.
We all know Tmac is soft in a way but he is certainly not as soft as other guys on that list. When Tmac is willing to step up his game he was also one of the tough guys in the game, protected his team mates you heard it!
I would also like to add that Dwyane Wade is incredible fragile, but Nobody, I mean nobody thinks he's a soft player. Why? Because he's incredibly reckless around the rim, His toughness is why he is so injury prone and fragile. So I'd like to add that being absolutely fragile is one reason why T-Mac is soft, but there are tons of other reasonings behind it as well.
If you saw him play in Detroit, you wouldn't say that. He's just being more cautious about being injured. So fighting and getting into altercations make players tough now? That's not how I see it, otherwise you mind as well call Sasha Vujacic tough, since he constantly gets into the opponents head and constantly pisses players off. As I said, Tracy is not soft for being fragile, he's soft for all the other things.
that's just stupid to call T-Mac soft..true, he doesn't attack the rim like he used to in his Orlando/Toronto days (see his highlights on YouTube..ridiculous!) but would you if you had a history of back/knee/shoulder issues? I would be reluctant to attack to. But yeah he is "soft" for trying to play through the pain and rushing back in order to help the team, mistakenly worsening the injuries. If that is soft then what the hell does toughness mean?
