And Jerry Stackhouse when he played for Toronto. Also I remember him and Bonzi getting into it when Bonzi played for Memphis. But I'm guessing his list has to do with on the court play and not altercations.
Yeah, ok, they weren't even within an arm's reach of one another. However it's sad that McGrady is the only one giving a damn. I honestly don't even know who you're referring to - McGrady or Garnett.
He meant Mcgrady. http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-5926150_ITM There use to be the video of it on youtube but the account got deleted...
It has been said long before that article that McGrady settles for jumpshots way too much. McGrady is a soft basketball player. No one is saying anything about how many manly fights they have been in. The fact is McGrady shoots to many jumpers. Speaking of the article, where's Dwyane Wade?
It's called playing through injuries (something that actually DOES require toughness) Even last year he was way more explosive and drove in and dunked quite often, it seems most clutchfans can only remember the last 8 months of Tracy's career plus the writer does not know what he's talking about
Following your reasoning, every 2 guard (aka shooting gaurd) becomes soft as their career progresses. Nevermind that other facets of their game increase (passing, etc). Jordan, Iverson, Kobe, McGrady, you name it. In fact, name me a 2 guard who didn't shoot a lot of jumpers as they got older (some might say wiser, as it saves on wear and tear).
If taking too many jumpers determines who is soft and who is tough then I guess Ron Artest needs to be inducted to the soft list too judging by this logic. I don't even think the whole jumpshot thing is why T-mac is on the list. He's on the list because he's injury prone and hasn't gotten out the 1st round, therefore he is an easy target for a list like this. I don't agree with it but that is how it is in the media.
I was surprised Yao wasn't on the list because of the media always hates on Yao but your logic definitely supports that.
Why isn't Grant Hill on there, then? It's more than that. He shies away from contact on both ends of the floor. He coasts more than anyone during games. He's constantly making excuses. All of that goes into the "soft" persona -- well deserved, in my opinion.
Honestly I don't think Yao is soft. I think he is just too slow. He is basically the only player that is that tall to have all-star success. Well you brought up a good point with the Grant Hill thing, but the media don't bash Hill like they do McGrady. Rarely do you hear the media bring up Hill never making it out of the 1st round like they do McGrady. I guess that is do to Hill missing the majority of multiple seasons.
Hows does that even come to mind? I didn't even know "shying away" from players means posterizing half the Jazz/Maverick's team.... Also do I have to post like 20 video's of Mcgrady blocking people? Please..
2 things, 1st rosen has always hated the rockets, so that means nothing to me, 2nd tell us something we dont know old man, u r officially the worst sports journalist in all of sports
I agree with yalls boy Rosen (lolz). T-Mac has always been soft. He shies away from guys like Artest who bully him around, he constantly slurps other players (Kobe) or makes excuses ("never played with a superstar"), and the one thing that has always ticked me off... he wont fight for an offensive rebound. EVER. As soon as a shot goes up he is limping his way back to defense.
