I did this to my folks last night. We went out for dinner and had finished our meal. I asked the waiter for the check, and then started staring at my wristwatch. My Mom asked me if I had to hurry home for something. I told her I had to hurry home to turn on CNN so I could see if Anna Nicole was still dead.

 

With all due respect, the child might be better with a different mother.

I'm sad she's dead, especially for her baby. However, we live in a pretty SAD, SAD, SAD society when her death gets more attention than someone like James Brown - you know somebody who actually had some talent and contributed something positive to our society.

Not doubting the dude's talent, but by contributing positive to our society did you mean minus being arrested and charged with domestic violence and also arrested and convicted for a drug offense?

that's not fair. sure brown had his deamons but you know what manny meant. at least he was a musical pioneer that helped set a foundation for several musical genres in this country.

anna nicole is nothing more than a media creation. a classic example of a celebrity who was only a celebrity because she was a celebrity.

 

James Brown was nothing more than a celebrity either. At least Anna Nicole didnt commit bunch of crimes in the process. James Brown did nothing more for Society than she did. They are both sad stories but dont make sound james brown was a good guy.

 

Brown was more than just a celebrity. At least he contributed something to this world before he left.

Im not knockin james browns talents or nothin. Im just sayin the story of anna nicole is pretty sad. There was a big deal about James Brown's death too. Just because she wasnt a musician, doesnt mean she doesnt deserve to be mourned.
