Yes, it's called making adjustments, which this team would have no part of. Poor Yao is still afraid of making adjustments to his gameplan according to his last interview. Sit there and lie to yourself that our offense was grade A if you want to. We were dead last of all 16 playoff teams in offensive efficiency. There is no excuse for that when you have a 2 time scoring champ and the best big man in the middle.

You compare supporting the most sacked QB in history, to supporting one of the most respected NBA coaches. And since missing PG's & PF's are a huge problem, how do you believe Adelman is "part of the solution" on that, yet JVG couldn't be? Shouldn't that have been Morey's job?
I'm not upset with the hire but, what the h3@$? We don't even interview Mario Elie? Thibadeaux? not one other candidate? Morey must really be leaning towards this style of play, which I'm not sure is conducive to our talent. I guess we'll see, this is obviously just the beginning as far as off season shuffling but I'm not 100% sold on this yet.
how long do you give a guy before you realize its just not working? 1st round losers in 3 of 4 playoff years after having 2-0 leads twice? JVG has flaws. Adelman has flaws im sure but he has proven to get his teams into the finals and conference finals numerous times. Isn't this moreys first year?
its weird how many times you have to explain step by step why this move is the best thing for us, it gets pretty annoying. I did this with VSpan and gave up, I was against JVG and the way he handled the team and gave up....it doesn't make sense, JVG stubborness must have implemented itself into the JVG lovers heads!
i wish Van Gundy got one more year to prove his self but i've moved on now...out of all the coaches, Adelman was my first choice...I hope he makes some major changes because with this roster, we arne't going where we want to go......
Dude...adelman's going to use battier, novak and head alot more now. probably going to run similiar plays that peja ran back when he was in sacto. if anything, our long ball game should improve. im a big time jvg supporter with his stern defense, but i think this signing will really show what this team is all about.
MacGrady is gonna putup bigger numbers next season. i dare say 28 to maybe 30 points is a real possibility . were definetly gonna see a more offensive oriented Tracy under rick.JVG and he's defensive Oriented gameplan had bogged Tracy down. some players are at there best when there free to play there natural game on offense. I also think were gonna see alot more cuts to the basket by the likes of battier and Snyder. Snyder is one player who i can see getting alot of easy looks by being a very effective cutter towards the rim.
I guess we'll see if this new style is successful in terms of anything more then getting butts in the seats. As far as it looks now, it is a parallel move that doesn't suite our roster
Adelman is extremly hot properity. you look at he's credintals and the other candidates and is it even worth Bothering interviewing anyone else?.the longer we waith we ran the risk of another team putting forward a more attractive offer and we be left with a huge egg on our face. this guy is a top 3 or the very worst top 5 coach in this league. we are damn lucky we got a guy of he's calibare. thank you're lucky horses and dont complain.
The one we had failed to take this team past the 1st round in 4 years. If the new guy does the same, people will complain again, and they should.
the one we had also brought respectability back to houston basketball. So the team didnt get past the first round (losing to superior teams each time). There is worst than that
I'll bet even if Adelman gets the Rockets to 2nd round this coming season, there will still be complaints that JVG would have done it. Adelman could do it only because he gets more talents. And JVG always got SCRUBS. Could you believe it!?
adelman probably can only do it with more talent or significant improvement from bench players over the summer. Lets not fool ourselves, without more talent rockets are 1st round fodder.
