I like his attitude immensely and do believe he is a killer, yes.

I think his pitbull mentality is something this team desperatly needs.

Is Adelman also the GM now? Has Les reduced Morey to his expected "yes-man" role in full effect?

B/c if Morey wanted to keep JVG, there's no way he has an actual "vision" for a Rick Adelman-type team. It will be up to Adelman to decide what players he wants, does not want.

And, we're back to where we were under CD... there is no consensous GM plan to go forward. Add to the fact that our GM has never actually been a GM before, and we're really off to a great start this off-season.

It opens you up for alot of criticism if you publicly hope for things so wildly unrealistic. It casts serious doubts on your basketball analysis credibility. I mean if I truely believed Spanoulis could be the next Bibby and Novak the next Peja I would be alot more upset about them not playing this year too. As it stands it is alot more reasonable to think Novak is the next Matt Bullard and Spanoulis the next Matt Maloney.

Sorry but that's the reality around here although, if that's so, then I have to wonder: Why is the team with arguably the best player in the league (Lakers:Kobe) and the coach with the most championship rings (again Lakers:Jackson) sitting at home watching the playoffs on TV just like the Rockets?

The general consensus, by far, was that the Rockets would beat Utah.

this entire situation was completely botched from the getgo.... one couldn't have written a more horrendous way to handle it.

the way les undermined morey's first real decision as the sole GM of this team speaks volumes.

rox were the popular pick. But that series was up in the air and most knew it could easily go both ways.

Whoa! That sounds lot like the ex-coach, JVG. Naw, I must be mistaken...

I respect that about JVG, I just wish he instilled some of that in his players, or played the one's that already had it in them.

    Morph,

I am only HOPING that they become that type of player, which would be great, and only putting it in a context which people understand because of Adelman.

I don't necessarily believe they will become comparitive players, but as a Rockets fan, one can dream, no?

and everyone was saying the series would go a full 7 games, not as if people were picking the rockets to sweep the Jazz

Hey, why not? A lot of folks around here act like JVG was the GM.

The "vision" you speak of is all Uncle Les'. I wonder if that happens will Adelman get ripped as much as did JVG when said players don't work out. I do know one thing: he'd better "develop" Spanoulis, JL3 & Novack or there will be hell to pay.

Actually, we NEVER left CD land. He's still a "consultant" whispering in Les' ear (probably something about it being JVG's fault). But not to worry. Adleman will have this team in the conference finals...eventually.

Now if we win by 30 points the coach will say something nice.

Sure we can hope, just to me those extremely far fetched hopes are better kept to one self :D

I mean we might as well hope Luther Head will be the next Allen Houston and Chuck Hayes will be the next Chuck Barkley while we are at it because both of those hopes are about as unlikely ;)

I do think Novak and Spanoulis can contribute, and honestly I think both would next year regardless of coach. I just find it highly unlikely that either player was just destorying the competition in practice, but JVG refused to play them because of some personal vendetta or self imposed no rookie rule. If Novak can become a Matt Bullard player that is a valuable role, but to expect him to become a top 10 league leader in scoring like Peja is reason to question the logic behind your belief that the coach was the problem. Likewise Spanoulis will probably be a good backup next year. I'd love it if he could show more, but to go into the season EXPECTING that is unrealistic based on what we have seen so far.

The best part about our last two coaching changes is that they weren't easy.

At least we didn't have to fire Grumpy because we didn't sniff the playoffs in 4 seasons :D
