Lets go through the list of nicknames that will surely come from this. 1. Shockmaster 2. Bolt 3. Sparky and my favorite 4. Smokey I say we should just go ahead and stick with one now to avoid cluttering up GARM
Well, I guess with no news coming out about this, I assume he is OK. I like "Sparky" since he is kind of a "spark-plug" off the bench.
Reports tonight on a couple of stations I watched said he is ok. They also said he stayed OVERNIGHT at the hospital for observation so my info was off a little.
Assuming those reports are correct, I'm glad to know Chuck is ok. Firstly in a personal sense, and secondly in a basketball sense. Imagine how thin the PF spot would be if he were out of action.
Aug. 7, 2006, 12:30AM AROUND SPORTS By JONATHAN FEIGEN Chronicle News Services PRO BASKETBALL Hayes released after electric shock Rockets forward Chuck Hayes, who received an electric shock at Tracy McGrady's charity softball tournament Saturday, was released from the hospital after precautionary tests showed no injuries. Hayes had sat next to a water cooler in a dugout when he received the shock and was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. JONATHAN FEIGEN http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/other/4098355.html I think he already stated it earlier in this thread... .
How about "The Conductor"...get it?...it has a double meaning. Ah, you guys don't know what funny is.
I don't know what all the fuss is about. Going to the hospital was merely a formality. After a shock like that, he needed to be discharged.
