Yea it's true, me and my boyfriend went to the tournament, and we met Chuck, even got an autograph. We weren't in the same park that Chuck was playing in at the time that this happened, but a volunteer that was overseeing the event told us that he was shocked (when getting a drink) and carried off in a stretcher. It was also confirmed by several people that were in the same field he was in. And when the last game was called off and everyone was sent home, we had to wait for the ambulance to leave the place, so someone was definitely hurt. This is no joke and I don't see how some of ya'll can make it into one.
man i'm really worried about chuck. he seems like a good guy and he's been busting his ass to get this far after being undrafted. on top of that i think he stands to play a huge role next season. faos i hope your information wherever you got it from is correct, i'll pray for him though.
Thank Yahweh for Van Gundier. I appreciate the hell out of Faos too, but Van Gundier is one of the best new posters here in more than a year. Jackie, you seem in the last few years to only get pleasure here by bashing other posters. Grow up.
Mistake...fixed. I assume they stopped playing that game when he got shocked, but as I said, I was in another field watchin T-Mac play. I saw the ambulance in the parking lot while the game I was watchin was still going on, but thought nothing of it since they were still playing. It was there for a good while before they actually announced that the last game was called off "due to an injury to a player". I heard that at first they thought it was heat stroke because he was leaning over to get a drink and just fell over.
I hope he recovers and doesn't suffer anything lasting. I got shocked by a broken 60V lamp couple of years ago, and I had a hard time moving the left side of my body. I was allright after a couple of days though.
I was referring to his posts in this thread. Like others, I dont't think it's a great idea to make fun of the situation when we don't even know whether the guy has possibly suffered some lasting injuries (I hope not, but I am not a doctor, but I think someone mentioned that that could be the case).
Van Dummy strikes again. The moron can't even keep his players safe from electrocution. When will Les Alexander show that he cares about winning and hire a proven, safety-first-oriented coach?
