Assuming we re-sign Deke this is our lineup...

    Yao/ Deke
    Stro/ Howard/ Spoon/ Baker
    TMac/ Bowen
    Wesley/ JB/ Head
    Sura/ James/ Ward/ Moochie

That's a full roster right there. I wouldn't mind an upgrade at PG, but I think with this roster we can make a run to the Western Confrence Finals. I guess we're planning to see how things go and make changes later if needed.

It didn't occur to me that he's not aware of this forum.

He drives a silver mercedez by the way. Last time I saw him was a day before game 7, he was having lunch with some friends in that Italian restaurant besides Marshall on West Gray.

HELL YEAH!!! I got to watch the my TIVO of Sports Sunday yesterday and see him pop that Homerun at the T-mac game while he ran the bases him and Bob were doing the ole 3 finger dance together.. I dont know of a team that SEEMS to like playing with each other more than our guys do.. I hope we can bag Deke and then get the show on the road...

Now only if we could dump Mooch and Baker and add a backup SF, this team would be set!

Thank goodness we signed JB back!

Sweeet!!! John B was great last season, especially for the chemistry, he seemed to bring energy and enthusiasm to the bench and seemed to bring the guys together.

I still think CD is going to try to upgrade one of the guard positions. Sura/Wesley played great for us last season, but we really saw our weakspots during the playoffs.

Sura/Wesley/James/Barry is quite an old backcourt. We need to add a little more athleticism/quickness to it. But I'd be happy going into the season w/ that lineup.

I thoroughly enjoyed JB on the team, and consider him a vital piece of the puzzle.

It has been too quiet on the Deke front, though, compared to all the info we had leading up to inking JB. Hope nothin' is amiss.

I wouldn't worry too much about Mutombo. According to Matt Jackson in the Swift press conference thread... "CD says they still want Barry back (his deal is basically done for 1 season) and Mutombo back(he's out of the country)."

Mutombo being out of the country could explain the lack of news on negotiations.

From something I saw on NBA TV, Mutombo was doing the Basketball Without Borders thing in Africa. He'll probably sign the new contract as soon as he gets off the plane. :D
