TM1 I agree up to a point on that, I want MJ back, he's got a way of playing adds a kind of commando crazy energy that can be an asset, IMO. Plus wesley IS a JVG fav I bet. So how's this for a team that will handle the mavs and flatten the Suns then figure out san antonio?

T Mac, Yao, Deke, JB, MJ, Stro, Juwan, Bowen, Sura, Head, Wesley, plus XX?
Fill in the blank. Who is the missing link that brings this together?

That is allot of firepower, defense. rebounding, and definately allot of JVG attitude.

Me. if a sign and switch could be worked out, DS is a great fit. Vet with a desire for a ring that burns.

This makes me happy. This is good news.

I would love to see us iron out the PG situation. It's almost like a quarterback controversy, except we have more quarterbacks than 2 to choose from.

Very good news! This has been a very good off-season so far.. Next up I hope will be Deke. After we sign Deke i will be able to rest easy. I feel with the addition of swift and head, plus having a healthy(er) juwan howard and sura, this team could possibly stand pat with the similar roster from last year and get past the dreaded 1st round. I really didn't have an opinion on the mighty mouse situation.. i just didn't want to give up Sura, James, or Howard to get him. So i'm kind of glad that has been resloved and we can look at other chicken wings in the bucket. Pass the hot sauce CD!

Re-signing Barry is great. I can't wait to see him draining 3s and throwing lob passes to Swift.

If what was reported about Stoudamire is true, then his saying he really wants to play in Houston is a bunch of BS. All he would have to do is accept the LLE.

Damon, you can play for a winner in Houston or an also-ran in Portland or Memphis. The choice is yours.

All he would have to do is forego an extra $10 million dollars. Come on Damon, it's just $10 million dollars. Are you such a jerk that you would actually go to a place that is paying you more?

I lived off West Gray, a few blocks from Montrose, back in the late '60's. Two friends and I shared a two story house that was $135 a month, bills paid. (one of the friends was a babe, and we shared her too, but that's another story, lol!) Man, brings back memories!

I love the signing. Jon is the perfect role player for the Rocks at his position. He plays his heart out every minute he's on the floor, knows his part to play in JVG's scheme, and is a great guy to have around... keepin' the team loose. Terrific news!

Really? With Bowen back as well, I think it's more likely that we're just going to stay put with our backcourt from last year and Head will fill in if anyone gets injured.

Good news, let's hope Deke's deal comes soon as well.

Seems like Stoudamire isn't likely, but there is still a chance. Portland doesn't seem to want add any type of salary at all. They should have packaged a bad contract (Miles, Patterson, DA) with SAR or Stoudamire, I'm pretty sure we'd take Patterson off their hands.

well i guess this is not a tell tale sign of anything. I feel CD wants to upgrade the backcourt and will actively look for S&T's or players who will sign for the LLE. CD and JVG probably do not want wesley starting next season. if he were to stay it would be as a backup. with JB on the team, it seems he will get moved.

ZThat's exactly how I feel man! They are the heart of the team. They don't keep their emotions in, they allow all their passion to flow out onto the court. Like, remember JB rolling on the floor in laughter when TMAC had that facial on Bradley? Or all his fist pumps inthe air in celebration?

Or Sura nearly getting into a fight with J. Howard (dallas) trying to give a message and protect Yao?

I love the two guys, they make the game more fun to watch. They also seem to bring out more passion from our normally mellow players, like the laid back TMAC and Yao. They were full of passion and firey last season.

    this is great news!

barry's one of those type of players that is essential for a great team. He brings a lot of intangibles that are needed; hustle, high bball iq, passing...he's one of those type of players that will come into a game and change the momentum right away.

plus if he didn't resign, i was gonna miss out on all those pull up 3's. He was teh best at doing that and everytime he pulled up, i had already counted 3 points cause he's just so good at it.

all we got to do now is resign deke and I think we'll stay pat until the trade deadline in which we'll make a move with our expiring contracts. We get deke, i'd consider it a fantastic offseason (maintain our core and add swift). :p
