As somebody who always stood up for Steve, I now have to get ready to stand up for T-Mac. Don't expect him to be the 2nd option YOFs.

Let's be altogether truthful here now. The last thing you really want here is peace and harmony. This is why you have been emotional and arguing up a storm in other threads in this forum all day, as well as most threads in the D & D all year. Your posting history would indicate that you actually enjoy confrontational discussion and arguing simply for argument's sake.

And I guess you don't like confrontation judging by that response. That's fine, as long as you stop with the silliness like the stuff you put up in this thread, that we've already seen about a million times over the past year, you'll hear no argument from me, bro.

like I said before....you guys are getting your heart's desire...why must you come into every thread and harp about how much you hate SF/Cat and or Cato?

we all know how you feel....and they are almost gone....cant you just enjoy that and quit spewing the hate?

Francis & Cat could thrive in Orlando, and if Grant Hill comes back they will be in the playoffs in the East.

Now that's interesting ... ORL just might have the players to make that work. It'd be hilarious for us to meet Francis and Shaq in the Championship ...

I've been thinking (usually not a good thing), and I wonder, if Stevie demands a trade after being sent to Orlando, could the Magic actually get what they wanted all along?

I have trouble seeing the Clippers passing on a deal that would send Steve to LA for Maggette and the #4 overall... They were gonna use the pick on a PG anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen, unless the salaries don't match up. Corey makes about 5 million dollars a year less than Steve, but the Clips are way under the cap.

    Could this happen?

Steve, Q, Brand, and maybe Kobe would be a really scary team.

My apologies to folks here who are sorry to see Francis go...ie. Sam, Rox2K, Batman. In hindsight, this was not the proper time or thread to post my general displeasure with him.

Pretty good, but how bout a signed/traded Kobe for SF, CM, KC? Then Rudy actually does get to coach the Rockets again (plus spotlight and Shaq) and we can start the Houston Knicks-LA Rockets rivalry.

Well, the Shaq to Orlando trade was discussed last week and now the Magic actually has a lot more to offer than back then.

Cat, Cato, Okafor, and Hill is a lot better than what was discussed last week. I am surprised that SF would not like to play with his budies Cat and Cato, he wasn't thinking that he can keep them in Orlando AND add SHaq, right?

Cat and Kobe are Philly buddies that would be a formidable 2-3 combo. Okafor has the potential. Hill's money will come off the books and allow them to pay for Kobe's new deal. Lakers will do just fine.

On the other hand ORL will not have much other than SF3, Shaq and Gooden, but you put people in street clothes next to these and the team is still a lock for HCA in the East.

Batman, Sam, and R2K have said a lot of what I would say in relation to the hating of Steve Francis.

It's amazing. Steve isn't making a stink over it, in fact he still says he believed in the way things were going here in Houston(so much for the STeve won't buy into JVG's system complaint.) Steve poured it out every single night on the court. He made some dumb plays, and he made some great ones, but he worked hard, and played hard with a lot of heart.

I mentioned in another thread that it's hard to be upset about possibly getting McGrady on the team, but I am a Rockets fan and anyone who gave their all the way Steve did, despite some unappreciative fans, etc. I'll respect him, and have a fan's attachment to him. Cat was another long time Rocket, who I will definitely miss. This makes us weaker depth wise in both the Point Guard, Power Forward and Center position. But McGrady is the type of player that might be something special if he has the right team around him.

It's a big deal, just like the deal for Barkley was. McGrady is younger than Barkley, so hopefully it will work out better for us in the end.

It's bitter sweet, and STeve's good attitude about the whole thing makes me a little sadder to see him go.

That's cool, dagimp. I'm not actually even sorry to see him go -- I'm thrilled with the trade -- I just really appreciated his loyalty to the team and his effort.

I think Steve finally realizes that when he goes to the East, he'll have as much, if not more, success than Baron Davis had the past couple of years. I think Steve, Cat and Cato will thrive in the East.

The Bobcats will pick up Howard, that's for sure...

In the other draft, though :) :) :) How ironic

I am actually sorry to see Cat and Cato go myself. I mean Mobley was boneheaded, but there were plenty of times he still came up with big shots for us. And Cato worked his ass off for us this past season.

If we convince the Bobcats to take Howard in a side-agreement, can we then have Gooden and Gaines as filler in place of Howard?
