As emotional as Francis is, he was very calm during the interview and did not portray any bitterness or bad intentions of creating a big stink. However, I think by publicly airing his feelings, and lack of desire to play for Orlando, it does NOT help the Rockets.

So if Francis hopes Orlando will trade him to a team of his choice, what team would want him after his 2nd hissy fit over what team he plays for? I'm sure after trading T-Mac to somwhere he wants to go, Orlando would think twice about having to deal with that all over again. So what's the going rate for a 6'3 PG who can't distribute the ball and is prone to turnovers? What else can Magic package with Francis for a potential deal?

I hope you're 6'8" and 260 calling men that could probably rip your arms from their sockets "whiney little b****es". If you are 6'8" and 260, I'll just Pay Pal you rather than apologize.

    No offense, I'm just saying.

I can't blame Francis. I'd be disappointed, too. I actually respect him more now. You would think he would come out and dump on Van Gundy, etc., but it looks like he genuinely wants to stay.

ESPN said that Francis doesn't like the idea of playing in Orlando, but if he has to play there he will do his job

Ah how the loyal steve lovers will sorely miss the dribbled out 24sec clocks, the 3 on 1 but no pass fastbreaks, the get the hell out of the lane Yao waiveoffs, the I'm a one-on-one against the world drives, the let's get the opposing team's point guard his season high defensive strategy, and the dribble off my foot out of bounds turnovers. But most of all, the Steve Francis in third person interviews. I tell you Glen Miller, those were days...

Actually, it may in fact be worth it because people like you will cease your incessant, monotonous, jackass comments about him like you exhibited here. We will have peace and harmony and no more endless b****ing devoid of factual content yet rife with emotion -- until the first time McGrady doesn't pass to Yao.

So what did Berman mean when he said "the expansion draft may affect this trade"?

If the Bobcats take Juwan Howard, then the deal may have to be tweaked. Like Jeff mentioned in another thread, there's no way the Rockets DON'T have a plan B.

What a bunch of ingrates. You don't have to like Steve's game, but he wanted to come here, he wanted to stay here and he gave everything he had every single night. Even if you wanted him traded (or even waived) for his turnovers or iso's or whatever else, you gotta appreciate those things about him. If he doesn't want to play in Orlando he's got every right to say so. T-Mac did. And if he didn't say it publicly you can be sure he would have told them privately anyway. Steve has all my respect and all my best wishes. I'll be following his career with the same affection I give to Sam Cassell's.
