The NBA does not, under any circumstances, want a player keeling over dead on the court. Cat has a heart condition, and you don't F around with the ticker. I suspect the dude misses the money, but you can't spend it if you're dead.

If Cat wants to play, is healthy enough to play, and can play well enough to win a roster spot then I will root for him (even against the Rox as his team loses to The Good Guys).

Translation: I need NBA paychecks because I squandered my fortune away.

Wish you the best of luck, but your health is priceless.

Rockets should just sign him to a non-guaranteed contract for 1 year. See how he does in practice and preseason. If he is out of nba form and sucks then waive him, if he good keep.
He deserves another shot, such a classy player!

Cat looked really old when he was with the Clips and Knicks. I can't imagine how old he'd look now with a Rox space suit on.

I think the only reason to bring him back is if we're ready to tank.

    ^^

Cat never played a game for the Knicks and led the Clippers to their first playoff series victory in (LA) franchise history...

You're probably right, I don't remember if he ever played for the Knicks. But he certainly looks old in a Clips uniform.

Impressive how far they went considering on the top of my head they only had Cassell, Mobley, and Brand that's worth mentioning. I'm not arguing that he sucked back then, all I'm saying is that he looks old. Wouldn't give a contract to a 36 year old guard. I think only a handful of players can still play guard effectively at that age and they're all PG's.

I'm telling you he didn't. how could he have looked old?

can you show me what you mean? I'm not making the argument to bring Cat back, I just don't get what you are saying about Cuttino looking old in 2006.
