Same reply as always...NBA Refs call the game as much as possible for the home team. Ever know of any other sport where homecourt was such an advantage? They do it to keep the courtside fans in the game and buying tickets. All the NBA cares about is the $$. This is wayyyy old news.

Conspiracy theories run rampant within the NBA. "Small market teams are not allowed to make the finals. Yao is being punished because, like Shaq in his early years, they don't want to make the NBA seem too easy. The Sophmore curse is due to the same thing. The more popular the player, the more calls that will go in his favor."

And finally, a thought: Did the Rockets start getting Nat'l TV time because they were winning? Or did they get the TV time FIRST, and then suddenly start winning? Hmmm. Would the NBA give a losing team Nat'l coverage??????????......

Not that it wasn't happening long before that, too (look up illegal defense in the dictionary and see Seattle Sonics), but if people didn't realize that officiating gets worse in the playoffs after that Kings/Lakers game 7 a while back, they're not watching.

The strange part here is the constant mistakes favoring one team over another.
