The thing is that Tmac nor Yao have not reached their expectations. You cannot blame the critics, reporters and fans from other teams who doubt the rockets. The fact is that we have one of the best teams on paper. But another fact is that our team hasnt proven its worth, hasnt proven its potential to be a contender, just yet. It's shown glimpses with the 22 game streak, but when the important time came around, our players got injured once again and we succumbed once again. Until we prove ourselves, we will be doubted and doubted and doubted.
We are going to be so freakin healthy this year that other teams will puke just thinking about our able bodies
Of the small number of teams with a legitimate chance to win a championship, do any of them start the season with more question marks than the Rockets?
Looks like a lot of opposing teams' fans want the Rockets to fail. We're second behind Denver is the fan poll beside the article which asks who's most likely to implode. Smells like fear to me!
Keeping our big three's healthy is essential.Hope Adelman can better using the cores, when Rockets last preseason game vs Kings,Adelman let Yao play so long is unforgivable, although Yao need this game to adjust the coming regular season
They also said the Bulls would implode when they picked up Dennis Rodman. So be careful at taking this kinda stuff too seriously. There's only one question for this team...only one. And that's health. If we stay healthy and walk into the playoffs without any significant injuries, we are legit contenders and the only team we have to fear is the Celtics. But that's a big if as we all know.
The thing about the "injury excuse" critics use, we've had injury issues for a few years now and we've STILL won 50 games each season. The one time we didn't win 50 games is when our injury issues were so bad we had to start guys like Keith Bogans, Richie Frahm, Luther Head... half the team was on the injured list at one point in time. And until Yao Ming went down for the second time that year we were still mathmatically in the hunt for the playoffs. Add Artest and Scola to the mix and its going to be virtually impossible to not win 50 games this season. They have a point in saying that our title shot is significantly lowered because of the injury risks, but we havn't even made it out of the first round yet so I'm not really worried about not winning the title.
Rockets just need to get out there and play. We need to limit Tmac and Yaos minutes. We'll be fine this season if we just limit minutes.
did y'all even read his blurb on the rockets... he straight up said it would take a "perfect storm of horrors" for the rockets to implode. hell, he even ended it by saying that an implosion is a much longer shot than the rockets "making a deep postseason push."
