Ben Gordon? Not yet, but we're almost there.

    In my humble opinion:

    Underrated:
1.) Shawn Marion -I don’t think there is anyone else in the league quite like Shawn Marion. This guy can literally play four different positions on the court, while still being an above average defender. Apparently a locker room cancer, but I would take him on my team any day of the week just for his versatility.
2.) Chris Kaman - This guy is pretty consistent and might be one of the top 4 centers in the league. He is not very flashy or pretty, so he doesn’t seem to get very much media attention.
3.) Lamar Odom - This guy gets a lot of flack for being soft and mentally weak, but is a great rebounder and can be a terrific offense player in spurts as well. Was the starting forward for a contender but always gets labeled as expendable.
4.) Jason Terry - There is probably a hometown bias here but this guy always seems to light us up. Terrific shooter and slasher, I always find myself clinching my teeth when he has the ball.
5.) Tracy McGrady – Was once the most explosive player in the league. Lost his step and was labeled overrated, with people ignoring the growth of other aspects in his game. Just plain makes his teammates better.

Honorable Mentions (Battier, Peja, Turk, Dalembert, JR Smith, Okafor, D. Harris, Calderon, D. Wade)

    Overrated:
1.) Carm Anthony - Call me crazy, but I just don’t like his game. Doesn’t play defense and comes across as a thug. I fully believe that he will flame out like Francis did. Once the athleticism is gone, he will drift out of the league.
2.) Rudy Gay -Best player on a bad team. Once again, this might be a hometown bias, but I don’t think he lives up to all the hype. Maybe he will get
    better as he gets older.

3.) Carlos Boozer - Inconsistent and seems unable to completely take over a game. Has a limited offensive arsenal. I wouldn’t even put this guy as one of the top five PF in the league. Disappeared in the playoffs.
4.) Eric Dampier - Overrated mostly by himself. Second best center in the league? LOL. He is tall and that’s about it.
5.) Rashard Lewis -r****ded contract sends him to Orlando then gets outplayed by Turk. I think his value will only go down as his career progresses.

Honorable Mentions (Dirk, Shaq, Kidd, Camby, Gordon, J. Howard, Pierce)

a lot of american big men don't play as much and get very little touches for them to respond when they get eaten up defensively. b/c let's be real, if howard or bosh get their fair of touches, they would eat all the international big men alive (outside of yao).

do you believe rudy fernandez will be this good in the NBA? i don't think so.

I know I know they made a mistake. They meant to post the " MOST UNDERRATED PLAYERS" Right?

If not than they look really stupid seeing that Wade was killing it overseas. You can honestly say he led the Ameericans to the gold. Just for that their post should be locked what do you say Clutch? :D

If anything you don't rate players that make 9 - 14 mill a year and are superstars overrated. Not including Horry, Marion, and Battier the other 2 are major stars in our league for a reason. The other three have or had their roles on their team and they knew what they were.

In my opinion these should be the 5 most overrated players in the league:

    5. Carmelo Anthony - He is just a damn ball hog. He plays to score and that's it. There's nothing else he does well. He's way overhyped.

    4. Stephon Marbury - He just can't play with any other stars. He always wants the limelight on him and doesn't know the concept of team. He's nothing but a waste of good talent.

    3. Dirk Nowitzki - Sure he got Dallas to the finals one year but besides that what else have they done with him there in the playoffs. He's the main reason their defense sucks every year. All he can really do is shoot perimeter shots. He has no inside presence.

    2. Andrei Kirilenko - He does a lot of things pretty good and can gaurd almost every position but since the one great season he's had and went to the all star game everything has gone down hill.

    1. Carlos Boozer - He just plain sucks to me. I dislike him for the way he turned his back on Cleveland when they were to re-sign him. And he plays like a little B, he whines and cries about every call that goes against him or what calls he doesn't get for him.

This article sucks, Yao is one of the best centers in the leauge, if not the best and you call him overrated? Strange. Maybe defense is not his best weapon but come on. Rockets are not better without him (we could see it during last year's playoffs).

As for Shane yes, he is not good on the offensive end but he is not here to play offense and that is why we have Ron now (offense+defense). I wonder why the writer didn't mention about his defense at all...forgot?

    The Future of Team U.S.A.

    ...

Shane Battier: He demonstrated during Houston's big winning streak that he is the best at stopping elite wing scorers. And he can hit the open shot, all while being a great veteran teammate.

So one guy wants to put him on the Olympic Team and another guy thinks he's overrated? Hmm. ok.
