Some of you guys are overrating Bosh. Scola is better.

Bosh is a finesse 4 that shoots jumpers.

Bosh may be younger but the fact is, he wouldn't make us that much better. Our perimeter defense will make Bosh, look even worse.

LBJ+Wade are one of the best perimeter defenders and yet Bosh is still soft.

No way....Scola wouldn't look right in Miami colors.

It makes me mad thinking about it!

Bosh is actually pretty darn good at PnR defense. Inside the paint, he's not quite as strong because of his thin build. Let's keep knocking down his value...maybe we can get him for cheap.

Very cleverly disguised "we don't think he's worth much, but we'll take him off your hands for the right price" thread.

You guys are way overrating Scola. His defense last season was worse than Bosh's (though not but much). He hustles, sure, but he just doesn't have the assertive of Bosh.

the Miami vs Utah game pretty much sums up everything..

Millsap went off on Bosh, having a career night with 46 pts...and Okafour owned him the other night which led to a NO win..

guys, let's stop overrating Bosh, dude has fairly bad defense and atm Scola can score loads of more than him... i'd still trade Scola plus fillers for him, but i would make sure that i am not overpaying him..

so glad we didnt get bosh. no offense but that bosh campaign here on cfans scared the **** out of me. Bosh is simply not a good rebounder or post player. His frame is to skinny and the only reason he had stats was because he was the first option on a crappy team...

Pretty sure Bosh can't defend any worse than Scola.

Well thats what happens when you realize that your #1 offseason target is really a somewhat overrated attention w****. Personally, I think its a tough call. I wouldn't mind having Bosh, but giving up Scola seems like it would be too much. Bottom line: if Scola continues to play at RIDICULOUS level, there's no way that we should trade him.

My opinion of $Ball Morey isn't as high as the rest of this board. But even I'll give him credit that he wouldn't do a Scola plus matching salaries for Bosh.

Bosh is a face the basket PF with no postup game. And from my view, he doesn't run the floor particularly well.

Max contracts should be given to players that can put a team on their back and take that team to the promised land. Or at a minimum, provide a night-in night-out mismatch on both ends of the court and transition. Sportsfans, that ain't Chris Bosh.

Good for Miami and their fans to eat some humble pie.

Pat Riley never heard what Bosh said this summer--that he doesn't want to play the 5?

My guess is Morey would do it. In fact, wasn't Scola a part of one of the S&T scenario discussed between HOU and Toronto in the summer? Unless something changed drastically, I'm pretty sure Morey would do it-- and so would Adelman.

I think the Rockets do it too. Bosh would fit really well at the PF spot with Yao. His lack of back-to-the-basket game would be less of a disadvantage, and he would make a killing off all the open jumpers. Bad contract but a fantastic fit.

    1) The past summer was prior to Scola becoming the darling of the World Championships. And taking his Rockets' game to another level. For a lot less than the Max. As well as before his market value was established.

    2) Bosh could have only came to Houston in a SnT...to get anywhere close, Scola would have become a BYC player.

Bosh and his agent where drumming up business with no intention of signing anywhere but with the CHeat...just like LeBum.

If you think whatever Bosh did in TOR qualifies him as a player that can put a team on his back, we can agree to disagree.

The rockets player that Riley really wants is Yao. Scola wouldn't do better than Bosh in Miami.

Bosh is gonna be a shell of his former self once his skills erode taking a back seat to these three for a year. He has to have the ball to be effect. Scola is better for their team and the jury is out whether Bosh is worth a max contract now. Rockets would do well to ask if they want to move him but he isnt worth Scola and anyone else. it would be a straight up trade. After all Scola makes their team better for how Wade and Lebron play. He plays off the ball. Perfect for them and their passing skills.
