I'd take this trade right now Bosh is much younger, hes athletic and long enough to do a lot more than Scola on defence (but he's soft) Aaaand I think we have way more of a chance of attracting Chris Paul or Melo with Bosh than Scola
Big 3? It seemed more like the Big 2 1/4... In some ways, Scola's game really helps the big 2 over there...Scola has good all around skills offensively so he doesn't need plays to be called for him to be effective... and he can switch from being the go to scorer to just a role player, depending on what the team needs offensively. The Heat should try to trade for Joakim Noah.
We would almost be handing them a trophy if we gave them Scola not to mention other players in such a trade. He would fit them probably better than Bosh tho... Still don't want someone that soft playing on our frontcourt with Yao. He wouldn't lead us to any titles ever.
Scola is a better teamate, and arguably a better player and he is only half the cost. That being said, if you want Bosh, trade Yao for him. DD
BTW, I really think Bosh for Yao is a great for all parties. Yao is 30 years old. I cannot see that he can win the title anytime soon in Houston. He not only represents himself, but represents China & Asia. If he can play together with Wade & James, he will win the title for sure. That will be a perfect career for him and for China, even for NBA league. Moreover, Bosh will fit with AB and Adelman's style, and that will be great for Houston too.
