The mvp never really meant that much to me (more than agreed with it :D ) but it did to Dream and the franchise. Finals MVP, well unless you're Chuck Howley that is almost written in any league depending on who wins.

The DPOY award was probably awarded by the writers who knew they weren't going to vote for him for MVP because they had nothing to gain by doing so.

I barely saw Russell play, and the only thing I give Jordan props for much more than most was his defense.

I've got him right behind Mo Cheeks, O, and Payton (ugh) among anyone that was 6'8 or less on my list.

But don't let anyone ever tell you that anyone was better than Dream defensively. Russell always complained about Hakeem's lack of discipline and lauded Sam Perkins at the same time.

Even if Dream's offense had sucked there still would not have been anyone nearly as good as Dream was defensively. Sorry Deke. Love ya' man.

I think its fair to call LeBron an elite defender. He's had great defensive abilities for a while, but his focus and consistency has improved a lot this year. JVG considers him to be one of the best defenders in the league, and I think that's saying something.
