I sure hope not. Dropping out just allows him to avoid the big L.

I saw this posted in another thread and I highly doubt this. As soon as he leaves the presidency there are probably indictments waiting for him. Even if Pence pardons him ahead of time there are still state charges that could await him.

First, if anybody but Fox News ran this story it would be proof of a liberal plot to form a coup.

I wonder if this is calculated to try to generate vocal enthusiasm among the base - get supporters to express their enthusiasm for Donnie counter all the recent negative news.

    What a joke.

    Quick... distraction for Bounty-Gate...

    Err COVID19? ...... ehh

Riots? ....... not working like we hope.

Ehh Paul Manafort protecting his palace in St. Louis from creepy socialists and an angry mob?.... ran with that 12 hours.

HMM I got it! Trump will pull out of the election if polls don’t improve!!

It’s 5 pm... go with it.

“So I said, I said General this ramp has Teflon on it and is 170 degrees and a half mile long. My shoes are made of cinder blocks; I will slip. So I had no choice but to go slow. You can’t see it from the pictures but there were tiny munchkins trying to pull my trouser pant legs. Thank God I made it. Obama is too frail, he would have never made it like I did.”

Look at his lips -- not hips -- lips.

    The lips don't lie.

I wouldn't put it beyond his campaign and supporters at FOX. Create a story about Trump is feeling down in the dumps about how no one appreciates him to generate a wave of sympathy and to get supporters riled up at the those mean liberals..

This also could just be a ploy to make Trump feel better. As supporters will post comments expressing sympathy and support along with talk about how bad things would be without him. Sort of a "It's a Wonderful Life" strategy..

    I wouldn't blame him.
He's a fish out of water and the media hates him anyway.
If it were me, I'd go buy and Island somewhere and live out the rest of my days away from all the bulldust.

As great as it would be for the country Trump would NEVER do this. All evidence points to him not accepting or recognizing a loss even if Biden beat him in 49 states. He’ll ask the GOP to join him in revolt to not certify the election and if he gets his way, he will not leave the White House.

If he’s forced to leave then he’ll keep saying he actually won, and to his grave will not be accepting the loss.

The biggest reason I don't believe this story is Trump doesn't even believe pollsters. The guy is sitting there thinking all of the polls that have him down are fake, so how can he even drop out because of bad poll numbers while thinking all bad poll numbers are fake news?

One thing to keep in mind is I have heard a lot of Trump fans say they would or have lied about their support of Trump simply to render data as inaccurate or because they fear retribution or judgement.

Trump must need his cult to cheer harder for him and for everyone else to look over here. Shame on you trumpers, dear leader needs your tears now...and then your cheers.

Yeah, it would seriously hurt his brand though to quit when he is down. Looks very weak and will likely make him a running joke for the rest of his life. Only Nixon resigned knowing he was going to be impeached, but Trump would have no excuse. He'd be the first President in US History to quit because of poll numbers.

I just don't think his ego could handle it.
