What's weirder is that Orangutan is only two degrees of seperation from Kevin Bacon. OMGWTFBBQ!

How dare you re-rail this thread!

It was believed the binary nerve agents they were working with, I have read somewhere on fas.org, had to be mixed manually

It is speculation to say they had modern, in flight mixing type shells, which I said would be of dubious value on a subway. If those shells exploded on a subway and the chemicals mixed (more likely it would vaporize) the blast woudl do the damage rather than the chemicals.

Which is precisely why extracting them from a rusty artillery shell (which you can't find and may not exist) is more trouble than its worth, especially given the speculative quality of the Iraqi shells, to the extent they exist.

As a general point - this is sort of a microcosm of my entire objection of the way the Bush Administration fights the war on terror - with missile defense shields, and a useless wars on 80's tinhorn dictators.....Come on guys, think!

What's easier, driving a fertilizer truck into Times Square and blowing it up -- or chasing down a rusty artillery shell that may not exist and may be broken if it does, and engineering some Dr. Evil-like plot to salvage it and modify it? Absurd.

Look at the past few major attacks on the west -- Sept 11, Madrid, London, think low tech people.

The "seven degrees of kevin bacon" thing got me thinking and I think I've figured out how the orangutan is connected with Saddam and chemical weapons:

    1. The orangutan was in Every Which Way But Loose(1978) with Clint Eastwood...
    2. Who was in The First Traveling Saleslady(1956) with Ginger Rodgers...
    3. Who was in Storm Warning (1951) with Ronald Reagan...
    4. Who sent Donald Rumsfeld to Iraq...
    5. Where he sold chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein.

It all makes perfect sense now.

Not bad. But the finger monkeys?

Also in any monkey deadly chemical thread - this classic, early internet vid needs to be posted:

Just to be clear,...(Enter pathetic Kerry voice here): I voted against your accusation before I voted for the fact you're information is baseless on correlation of which intelligence is arranged as the basis of the declaration of the admission with regard to the extent of the classified information which has absolutely no bearing on the connection of the previous admission...Frankly, you were wrong sometime ago today, and you are wrong now....

Come on guys. It is a good thing we found these. It could cause skin irritation and burn if it came in contact with the skin.

Here is what Bush's own chief weapons inspector had to say about Santorum's use of the declassified documents.

This thing is a joke. Santorum is quickly becomming a laughing stock. I guess after this stunt he deserves to be.

Here is some more NEWS about your beleagured Iraq Survey Group:

After six months searching for WMD, the ISG issued an Interim Progress Report on October 3, 2003. The team has found evidence of "WMD-related program activities" but no actual chemical, biological or nuclear weapons. (Of course, now the weapons have completed the equation...) In addition to details of dormant WMD programs, the October 2003 report also includes discoveries of non-WMD programs banned by the U.N. and concealed during the IAEA and UNMOVIC inspections that began in 2002. The discoveries made by the ISG include a "clandestine network of laboratories . . . that contained equipment . . . suitable for continuing chemical biological weapons research" and vials of "live C botulinum Okra B from which a biological agent can be produced

More NEWS will come to YOU...

That has nothing zero to do with the weapons of minimal destruction that were recently found. The fact that Santorum was tauting the fact they found some non-threatening weapons only makes him look desperate.

You do realize they are talking about having found some food poisoning, and botox stuff right? AGain those finds are hardly that threatening. Sure it would be a pain to have the runs and have to vomit from food poisoning, but I wouldn't start a war because of it.
