Excellent. So I guess he won't be involved in any sign and trades. I guess right now there is not a market for Alston...unless Alston is traded by himself away.
PF is still the weakest position on te Rockets. Even if/when Hayes sign, they need another third-string vet to step up as the primary backup, just in case Scola isn't ready. As unpopular as this suggestion is. I'd like the Rockets to try and sign Keith Van Horn for the vet's min. Landry might be helpful in future season's but this team is built for now more so than ever. Try to package him in a deal for the draft rights to Joel Freeland or something like that.
Nope, he's actually going to make 100,000 three pointers, Rafer simply shot them. That's the differance. On board with Chuck, I love that guy! Hustles other players out of their rebounds, I won't mind if he improved his J though, it looks terrible!
Hayes is today's fan favorite -- and with good reason. He is Everyman and therefore an easier figure with whom to identify. He hustles, works hard, gives 100%, doesn't complain and seems very likable. He just does his job without the spectacular physical assets of most NBA first tier players. However, I've been around on this site long enough to have seen yesterday's milk sour on today's table. Moochie Norris is a classic example of a yesterday's Everyman -- hustled, worked hard, gave 100%, didn't complain and seemed very likable. Now Moochie is derided at every turn because his contract was an albatross around our necks and we had to live with it -- twice. I hope that the Hayes contract is short and reasonable. If he is still playing well in two years, re-sign him for what he again deserves. However, we must remember that he is what he is .... a good eleventh or twelfth man -- not a starter.
I know. I figured the poster meant 500/day. 500 over the course of the summer would be like 6 three pointers per day No wonder he sucks!
Moochie got like a 24 million dollar contract. I'd be shocked if Hayes gets a contract worth 10 million. Different story all together.
Time will tell. Actually, an albatross is a sign of good fortune for sailors. The Ancient Mariner discovered it was a curse to kill one. Perhaps that's why we had ill fortune in the Moochie years -- we killed that bird twice. Perhaps the Hayes albatross will bring good fortune. The past does not always repeat itself -- again, time will tell.
The days of signing players to contracts to twice their value ends now with Morey! Morey will have a contract that will be nowhere near Cato, Moochie, and all the other roleplayers.
It's still hard to believe we gave him 24 friggin million dollars. CD MUST have been smokin the good stuff.
I'm very happy about Chuck's signing. He's _DEFINTELY_ a player we need. Just hope Morey offer him a good contract.
