Don't worry - all the real fun should be done by then. It'll be 4 hours into the draft, so we might up be to the 8th pick by then! 7 days later, perhaps we'll be in the 4th round.

yeah, that's what's tough about it. i think we'll break out some yahtzee and monopoly, jr. to get us through a rainy draft day.

of course, if you were a REAL FAN, you would stop complaining about it, Major! :D

Exactly how I feel. I think we should have moved down to 4-6, taken AJ Hawk or D'Brick (whoever was available) and loaded up on a few extra picks. But regardless, I'm also entertained - both by the meltdown here and in Houston, as well the suspence that comes with the top of the first round now.

Lots of execs will be getting far less sleep tonight.

Venkman: This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Mayor: What do you mean, "biblical"?
Ray: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath-of-God type stuff.
    Venkman: Exactly.
Ray: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
Egon: Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes...
Winston: The dead rising from the grave.
Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria.

I was really just going with whomever we picked, but now that I've examined the situation, the pick makes a lot of sense to me.

Plus, it makes the draft exciting again! :D

Egon: Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of angry Texans fan energy in the Houston area. Based on this morning's reading, it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.
    Winston: That's a big Twinkie.

You are what makes Houston sports fans suck. This is why we are nowhere near the sports city that most big cities are.
