What hurts me most, is that Dream has hid behind Fegan this whole time, basically holing up somewhere, except for his occassional trip to Whole Foods. Maybe there's a logical explanation. But Dream has always been a standup character, why hide from the camera? I hope there's a good explanation. I really do. ------------------ "Larry Johnson, who spent the last 48 hours railing against the world, what a pathetic performance by this sad human being." -The one and only Bill Walton
- Dream wants to go to a team that wants him for what he currently can do, not what he did in the past. That being the case I say just waive Hakeem and let him sign outright. No reason to help him make more money. He he even said he didn't want to focus on what he's done in the past. ------------------
This post ought to go up on the front of this website. Barbourdg succinctly sums up the general feeling on this BBS nicely. ------------------
Speak for yourself. ------------------ This post contains no smilies, you must judge my seriousness on your own...
Well lets just get it over and done with Dream.... Lets look to the Rockets future... Go and sign our own FA's in Taylor, Anderson, Norris and Bullard... Then find some center.... not going to name any names... We have a lot of young talent in Franchis, Cat, Griffin, Morris, and Langhi... Plus some good role players like Norris, Anderson, Williams, KT, Taylor and Collier and possibly Cato... Thats if we sign our FA's back.... ------------------
Just because you disagree with something, you can't change the obvious general feeling of this BBS. Btw, are you always so curt and rude, or is this just how you want to portray yourself in this setting? ------------------
Well I try not to speak for the entire BBS like you want to, but the "HAKEEM SCREWED US OVER" take isn't necessarily shared by even the majority on this bbs. Just b/c you agree with barb, doesn't mean it's the "general feeling" of the bbs. Also if you take the time to look at Clutch's poll, you'd see that 71.2% voted to let Dream go if it meant losing our own free agents. I guess that means that the 71.2% are satisfied that the Rockets didn't overpay for Dream and risk losing our own guys. So I'm sticking to what I said when I said "Speak for yourself" when it comes to agreeing with barbourdg. ------------------ This post contains no smilies, you must judge my seriousness on your own... I guess since my name keeps coming up in this thread, I will speak my mind. I guess what McCray is trying to say, is that taking a risk on loosing are other FA's was just part of the problem. By playing these mind games (for weeks) with the Rockets, he was able to wait out until all of the other major FA's had signed elsewhere (giving him more leverage, at the cost of the Rockets future). That is how he SC****D us!! As far as the majority on cc.net, if Clutch did another poll (after this nightmare is over), and the Rockets end up taking Montross & Skinner for Hakeem, or basically get thrown in a corner to where we cannot even request Keon Clark, I guarantee you what the majority will think on this board!!!! ------------------
I've never found Band Geek to be curt or rude, at least no more than anyone else around here ------------------
I just can't believe it has come to this. . . . . . Wow. ------------------ -jbond77 "truth be told, my car is dead, and I'm having am radio withdrawl symptoms"
why y'all so mad? and i am also of the same opinion with pete rose mobster. you know, before the c-webb thing people thought we were gonna screw the kings in a s&t. who would've thought we'd be in the other seat. ------------------
