Huh?? your attempt to sound intelligent has failed utterly.. one could argue that the first definition applies(maybe) ...but how does someone who loses their hair by disease complain? or, how does a sneaking fellow complain? or, how does one who is hardly used complain? go back to your thesarus and try again..
When you're always getting bullied around and don't do nothing about it..that means you have no heart. See people can't take it when someone tells the truth.
I was at the Nets game. They handed out Mo Taylor bobble head dolls. Right on top op the box it said, "WARNING: chokeing hazard". I have a ton of snotty comments, but that label pretty much said it all. As for the coach blasting the players in public. That seems weird in normal circumstances, but pro sports is a public prrofession. They play in fornt of large crowds, their salarys are published, performance in every game is put into box scores and recaps natioinwide, and if they win the championship, they will celebtate on TV. Heck, some players even hire publists to increase their profile. There is no reason they should be shielded to keep their feelings from being hurt. IF you can't run with the big dogs... don't take the multi million dollar check.
What is heart? It's what Hakeem Olajuwon had. When everyone and everything was against him - no whistles, bad whistles, 3 guys hanging on him, stupid teammates, no game plan, hostile league, hostile crowd, no commercials, no camera love - he took it right into the teeth of the opposition and threw it down on them. When things were at the worst it was just "Give me the ball, mon!" When the opponent had torched his chump teammate and beaten everyone else back down, he busted ass to get back and crash that guy to floor with the perfect killing block. Pressure made him stronger, more fierce, more the ultimate warrior. God, I miss that guy. but not the post-marriage, knees gone, wheelchair hakeem. He stunk.
To achieve greatness in anything you must first sacrifice something... Did anybody read the article in the comical today about mobley wanting to be many things? Or did anybody see the bit mobley did for rome is burning? Showing off his new porche twin turbo, the rice loft he as downtown, etc... Not much of the show was towards work ethic, sacrifice, long hours....etc. contrast that with the same bit on rome but with a different player, ben wallace who focused the whole show on his workouts, strength training, shooting, etc. Stay Humble.....Stay Hungry!!!
That's strange. After reading a lot of the posts here, I could have sworn that Yao was looking for other parts of his anatomy...
We have the Tin Man and the Scarecrow - now all's we need is the Lion (which we may also have) and a yellow brick road.
