It's one summer league game. Remember when John Lucas had stats similar to Brandon Roy in summer league? Remember when there were reports from actual sports reporters that some in the Rockets organization thought JL would become starter over Rafer soon?

I'm glad Mike Harris did well, it's better than him sucking, but let's not get too worked up yet.

Harris is more of a SF than a PF. He can shoot the 3 (31% in the NBDL) a little. I have seen his midrange game, but considering he shot 61% overall I would guess it is pretty good. Think a poor man's Bonzi Wells. He can help back up the 3 this year and if we don't resign Bonzi next year he might be able to take over his role.

I know he'll probably be just a training camp guy....but why the 2 yr?

    Can somebody explain that?

If they are giving away money over there...I'm available.

It's a non-guarenteed deal. In english, that means they can choose not to pay him a dime if he doesn't fulfill their expectations.
It's 2 years because of the off-chance he becomes a solid rotational player, he'll have to prove in year 2 that it wasn't a fluke and get overpaid.

I was listening to some music and I played this video. My mother came in and asked if I was watching a horror film.

Funny...that play by play was a little startling to me too.

Honestly the PF thing must be a misprint, isolated on the arc, the guy is obviously a wing. He may have played PF in Europe, but his skill set and his size are pure SF, SG. Anyway, little chance the guy sees the roster, but he's a fairly interesting prospect in a back-up-Tmac-ten-minutes-a-night capacity.

Some posters were calling him a PF because that was his college position but in the NBDL he was playing at SF.

After watching him in the summer leagues, I hope we find a way to keep him, he is a powerful SF in the Marion/Artest mold.

    I hope we keep him.

Either him or Snyder. One of them have to go. They are similar type of players. My bet would be Snyder is out, just because Harris is cheaper.

Agree, I find it hard to believe that Harris makes the team. He played well in the 5 summer league games, but he is terribly undersized at 6'5 for a power forward.

He didn't play PF at all during summer league. He only played that position in college. He's been playing at SF in the D-League and played SF in Summer League too.

That's the same adjustment Mario Elie had to go through to make the NBA. It worked out just fine for him too.

Then who was playing the power forward position in the starting lineup during the rockets summer league and please don't say Landry, he was covering centers. Harris did not take one 3pt shot during the whole summer league.
