It was easier signing another undersized PF than it would be to put the rest of the undersized PFs on stilts to make them look taller. He will be the most popular Rocket to stand next to in the team picture...

Maybe the Rockets are doing this to create leverage in the Chucky Hayes negotiations...

Plus it's not like we have a lot of PF signed for summer league or even training camp..

It reminds me of when University of Texas didn't even have 10 bodies to scrimmage in practice one year...

Yeah. He's looking great. 6 points on 3 of 3 shooting and 5 rebounds in 10 minutes.

good call...let's just sign all those tall, athletic ballers that are out there. I hear that badiane is pretty long and athletic.

Mike Harris looked good out there, but I would recommend to the Rockets junkies to hold your load. It's only the Summer League.

It is only summer league, but I said it in the other thread, his game reminds me of a young Mario Elie.....

Let's hope he continues to play that way.

I believe a non-guaranteed rookie scale deal only counts $50,000 against the Rockets' cap if he gets cut before the season.

He's probably a much better rebounder.

No way Harris, Landry, Hayes, Novak all make the team. Who's the odd man out?

I really think that Hayes and Harris are similar-type players; however, you can never have too many of those-type players. Personally, I'd love to sign both, but I get the feeling that Harris was brought in as a safeguard against tough negociating on Hayes' part. Question: Can we sign both?

Assuming Landry makes the team, and Hayes resigns, and assuming we go after a PF via trade or MLE; ... who makes the team, Novak or Harris?

I think it could be just a case of the vet/journeyman knowing his way around the rookies. Still too early, if he sticks around, pre-season might be more telling.
