if you want to compare stats, look up on Tony parker's. Mike James stat line from last year was almost identical to Parker's; James had slightly lower FG% but much higher 3pt FG%.

Mike James was traded because he couldn't make the entry pass. While I want him back as much as anyone else, he better not start at PG. Yao will regress if James is the starting PG.

If James doesn't start, Rockets might as well go after a cheaper option in Marcus Banks.

Banks might be cheaper and I like his speed and ability to break down the defense but he isn't much of a passer or a shooter. We need a backup PG who can cover for Skip's shooting weakness.

banks shot pretty well when he got starter's minutes for the t-wolves last year: 48% fg, 36% 3p.

Why will banks get the whole MLE? What has he done to make GM's want to spend that much on him?

James could start at the 2, I guess, and back up the point. We'd have to find a way to get a guy like Freddie Jones, or Stephenson to backup the 2.

I'd like to see a 4-man backcourt rotation of:
    Alston/James
    James/Jones or Stephenson/Head

It's not a tall backcourt, but Jones or Stephenson would provide some much needed size.

I would rather sign and trade for James and split the mle between either Lorenzen Wright/Loren woods and Q.Woods/Jumaine Jones.

Umm i remember that Juwan howard got in a fight with mike james during a game. I think Juwan shoved the Bball in mike's face or was it some other player? Wouldn't this affect team chemistry if mike is starting at the point?

Do you really think we should take Juwan Howard's feelings into consideration? Hopefully, he won't be on the team next year.

No it wouldn't effect team chemistry. All you have to do is sit Juwan on the bench, its that simple. James brings more to the table than Charley Juwan Hustle.

If T-Mac is staying at the 3, and Battier's being depended on as a 4:

Juwan+Head+Rybo for Croshere+Jones could be possible. Croshere has an expiring contract.

    James(MLE), Alston
    Jones, Sura
    McGrady, Novak
    Battier, Croshere, Hayes
    Yao, Deke

what the hell is up with the Sura mentioning ...HIS CAREER IS DONE!!!!!

    The best line-up* is actually:

    PG: Alston/James
    SG: Salmons/Bogans
    SF: McGrady/Novak
    PF: Battier/Murphy/Hayes
    C: Yao/Deke

*could be better if we added Josh Childress (most likely) or KG (not likely).

Latest update on the FA market is that NENE resigned with the Nuggets, and Bobby Jackson signed with the Hornets. Hopefully this means they give up on either Rasual Butler and JR Smith and we have a chance at them.

I also think we should go after Jared Jeffries, but i think the Wizards will match up to the full MLE which is all we can give them.

If we get James, I'm in favor of starting him at SG. let him do what he does best. score. Don't ask him to be a passer, then get frustrated when he doesnt. On most nights, our starting lineup should be: Alston/James/Tmac/Howard/Yao.

Yes, James is small to cover taller sg's, but we're getting him because he can score the ball right back at them. Frankly, he can also defend because he is pretty tough. We need to start dictating matchups and quit reacting to them.

When we face a stronger/bigger SG, slide Battier into the lineup and James into the PG spot. Why? Because Battier can move the ball. The idea is that you have a mix of passers and scorers. The best scenario is to have 3 good scorers in the game most of the time, with good complimentary players like
    Battier.

If we can get James via the SNT for the TE, then the MLE better be used for a power forward with power.
