You see Thibodeau's system making Carlos Boozer look good on D? Me neither.

    8 mil is too much.

And before I get asked what other center I would want for 8 mil...I'd either not go for a center and bring Camby back, or I'd add a handful of millions to the 8 mil and go after Hibbert.

Because I've seen the guy play... he's a very good defender in every aspect. But even if I hadn't seen him at all, there are a ton of people around the league that have been saying the same exact thing for years.

Yet everyone here had absolutely no problem with going after Andre Drummond, despite his 29% free throw shooting in college.

    The "Hack-A-(whoever)" is so overblown.

How can so many people complain about this move when there's not much difference between Asik and Tyson Chandler and DeAndre Jordan, two guys the board would love to have?

DeAndre Jordan sucks man.. and is WAY overpaid

Tyson Chandler is overpaid too, but at least he has intangibles that make up for it

I think Asik is overrated by ClutchFans. Outside of rebounding, he's terrible on the offensive end of the court. He's unathletic, slow, and is a major flopper. I'm not sure how well his game will translate once he starts getting big mins. That being said, I wouldn't mind him for the right price. $8 million per year for the life of the contract seems fair to me, because of his impact on defense. If he's asking for $10 million or more or if he gets that type of offer from Portland or another, I would let him walk.

The Rockets should at least offer Hibbert the max and force the Pacers to match it, which they'll do.

Have they changed the waiting period for matching an offer for a restricted player in this CBA?

didnt deandre jordan get 11 per year? and he is straight GARBAGE with no rebounding and little defense aside from occasional block. Camby made 12 mill and unless he is willing to accept ALOT less he wont be a rocket this season.

They would not have gotten to the Finals if not for his ability to defend the post without help in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

man you guys still havent learns moreys system after all these years? NO person on this site has overrated the guy saying he is a savior or will take us to playoffs lol. He brings defense and rebounding thats it. He wont even get paid like the top centers with 8mill per season BUT he is more valuable than dragic when on the market. Not many centers in the league available in FA. If you can find one better please type his name. List below:

Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets – $3.1 million – Restricted ($4.2 million Qualifying Offer)
Chris Kaman, New Orleans Hornets – $12.7 million – Unrestricted
Marcus Camby, Houston Rockets – $12.9 million – Unrestricted
    Spencer Hawes, Philadelphia 76ers – $4.1 million – Unrestricted
Kwame Brown, Milwaukee Bucks – $6.8 million – Unrestricted
Aaron Gray, Toronto Raptors – $2.5 million – Unrestricted
Robin Lopez, Phoenix Suns – $2.8 million – Restricted ($4.0 million Qualifying Offer)
    Jermaine O’Neal, Boston Celtics – $6.2 million – Unrestricted

Omer Asik, Chicago Bulls – $1.9 million – Unrestricted*
Semih Erden, Cleveland Cavaliers – $0.8 million – Unrestricted*
Ben Wallace, Detroit Pistons – $2.2 million – Unrestricted
Hamed Haddadi, Memphis Grizzlies – $1.3 million – Unrestricted
Mehmet Okur, Portland Trail Blazers – $10.9 million – Unrestricted
Greg Stiemsma, Boston Celtics – $0.5 million – Unrestricted*
Daniel Orton, Orlando Magic – $1.1 million – Unrestricted
Solomon Alabi, Toronto Raptors – $0.8 million – Team Option ($0.9 million)
Hasheem Thabeet, Portland Trail Blazers – $5.1 million – Unrestricted
DeSagana Diop, Charlotte Bobcats – $6.9 million – Player Option ($7.4 million)
Ryan Hollins, Boston Celtics – $0.3 million – Unrestricted
Jason Collins, Atlanta Hawks – $1.3 million – Unrestricted
Joel Przybilla, Portland Trail Blazers – $0.7 million – Unrestricted
Eddy Curry, Miami HEAT – $1.2 million – Unrestricted
    Tony Battie, Philadelphia 76ers – $1.3 million – Unrestricted

Has to make Houston's pitch a little more appealing right? Daryl himself was at Asik's doorstep the moment FA period began.

Still hates us, can't even get him in a room with us because he's afraid Chuck Hayes will pop up and f*** him up before we sen him to the DLeague.
