HOUSTON -- Agent Tony Dutt told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday his client, Houston Rockets forward Mike Harris, agreed to a contract with the Rockets that will go through next season. Harris is about to finish his second 10-day contract with the club.

"We have agreed to a contract for the rest of this season and next year as well," Dutt said. "This is a dream come true for Mike.

"Everybody with the Rockets organization appreciates Mike for who he is and what he is able to do."

Harris has played in eight games with the Rockets averaging five points and four rebounds a game.

Harris is a rookie who played his college basketball at Rice in Houston.

    lol maybe another 1.5MM? hmmm

    Bobbys 6MM + sf3's 2.5 and Harris 1.5MM= 10MM+

Wonder who we could bring in with that much capital...

Well, whatever we do with Mike Harris, keep or trade, good for him. You gotta like what he brings to a team, and that he gets some stability.

no way it's in 1.5mm range. morey is usually thrifty when it comes to the 12th-ish players. see head, landry, etc.

He's great but not a power forward really, he needs to work on his range some more and he'd be a great small forward or if he worked on his handling and passing could be a shooting guard. He's got the height for those positions but Hayes and Harris will always have a hard time scoring vs. the better talls without a jump shot.

He's the New Corliss! And he won't get payed more than Chuck. Head and Landry will get payed more when their contracts are up, but hopefully not too much.
