I'm pretty sure this is necessary... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EBohdltpVUY?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EBohdltpVUY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Fox 26, citing a source, reports Andre Johnson will be fined but will not be suspended for his on field fight with Tennessee's Cortland Finnegan. Woooooo
Hell yes! <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/z5U9QRiY46I?fs=1&hl=en_US&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/z5U9QRiY46I?fs=1&hl=en_US&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I wonder what Cortland feels like today? No suspension for AJ, getting clocked on national tv, and watching it on all the replays and hearing he got what he deserved from all over the league. I'm surprised he didn't get a bonus check. LOL Good call by Goodell. He understands AJ has been a model player for all these years. I guess the league also understands the fight was premeditated (like always with Finnegan) and the Titans can't use that strategy to get the other teams best player out of the game because of suspension. Otherwise when we play them in a couple weeks... we need to put in an enforcer scrub on their best player and do the same to them.
I can't link it bc I'm using my phone at work...but the chron is reporting that a mistake was made and no decision has been made yet by the NFL.
That was from earlier ... they had a pre-written article (which happened to be right) that mistakenly got published before the verdict was actually released. Multiple other sources have confirmed that he will not be suspended.
It says the Chron.com story was a stake. Fox hasn't retracted their story. Hopefully it's true. I don't read much of the Chronicle, but the sports page is horrible.
While i do NOT think he deserved to be suspended....Im not at all surprised that the NFL didnt suspend AJ given the upcoming game on NFL NETWORK....politics seemed to work in the Texans favor this time. Nothing wrong w that.
I said the same thing in another thread. No way they suspend our most recognized player right before he plays on their network.
Houston fans are lucky to have Scoop Berman on the beat. He's the best reporter HANDS DOWN in the city. Glad to hear Schefter giving him his much-deserved props!!
