    :( Guys!

    Pet ads on Craigslist

As you may be aware, animals given away for free can, and unfortunately often do, meet gruesome fates.

Agreed with other posters. I think more pics are necessary. A cat is a big responsibility and therefore I need to see if its a good quality cat.

    LOL! Smooth.

Nice looking cat, shouldn't be too hard to get rid of. (looks calm and friendly too).

Sorry ASPCA is NY only and was the first thing that came to mind... send your pics to the email on this site:

    http://www.houstonhumane.org/lost-and-found/

if you turn it in they will keep it for 3-5 days and adopt it out / foster it if it is a sociable pet I imagine.

Their website states, "All unadoptable animals are humanely euthanized." I wonder how they determine if an animal is unadoptable? I will call in the morning and ask questions. Thanks for the info!

Yes, the ASPCA does put them down if they can't find a home for a while. They really don't have a choice. As Bob Barker says, have your pets spayed or neutered!

Cat looks pretty happy where he is. Why can't you keep him?

Yep that's pretty much how it goes. From what I understand an animal is not adoptable if it is a) unhealthy aka cancer/tumors or some deathly illness or b) super unsociable, which doesn't seem to be the case with the cat you have judging from its calm demeanor next to the dog.

You happen to live close to Tomball? I seen a cat just like that wandering my neighborhood recently.

There is a pretty good chance that cat is owned by someone. Siamese cats are not typical strays. You should go to the SPCA to get s/he reported as a found cat.

imo, you should not be looking to give this cat away; you should be looking for its owner. The scratch on its nose looks like a fight. It might have gotten bullied by a stray into fleeing for greener pastures...which is now you. But, if that cute cat has an owner, as I suspect, they will much appreciate you reporting it has found. Go to any local vets in your area too. Look on poles for signs, etc.

    good luck

^^so true, siamese cats usually latch on to one person for life.

I think they're the spawn of satan, but to each their own...
