Dude, gfycat. Don't use gifs that take an hour to load. http://gfycat.com/IlliterateFlamboyantJuliabutterfly
I could have used Imgur's GIFV file but I can't embed it and was too lazy to down-size the gif so yeah.
You know what, I remember an exact same play involving Aaron Brooks, he got fouled on the arm the exact same way and the refs didn't call it and we lost the game I don't remember what game it was, might have been 2-3 years. I just think refs in general are too p***y to make these calls on game ending plays, so you might as well just shoot the step back jumper.
man seeing the OP's gif makes me feel like im losing interest in the nba (sports in general) i spend enough time following this junk. and seeing that just makes it feel like a waste.
Obvious foul!. how dare the refs! Nba should make apology and gift Harden the 2015 MVP . that should teach them!
its a foul but refs don't call a lot of stuff during the final few minutes like Jones foul on Gasol's jumper. It a play on. They should have made a smarter play than that, Grizzlies are a good defensive team.
Rockets better bury their 3s come playoff time cuz Harden will be about 35 years old before he realizes how shafted he will get in the playoffs.
I'm not a big "beg for a foul" guy. Was it a foul? Of course. Do I really care? Not really, I don't want to see a flop contest at the end of a game. Should it be a foul on the two minutes record thing? It better be, because I'm hoping they take the numbers and find out who really is an accurate ref. Once the playoffs roll around I don't want the JV ref team out there.
Definitely a foul. Refs as always want to let the players play... But that was just blatantly bad. As mentioned earlier, I'm glad McHale said something, as well as it actually making an article on ESPN (I don't care about media attention, but happy maybe it'll do something the next time). I mean I don't know if it will.. But worth a shot. I'm just disappointed refs are so bad, even after the NBA had its image stained by Tim Donaghy. I'm starting to wonder if the deck is still stacked. It's like there were parts mentioned in his book about getting tips from higher ups on how to call certain players, I'm not into conspiracy theories, but after the Chicago game and now this garbage it definitely looks that way. I mean we've been robbed in playoff series and we still hold out hope this'll get better, but I've yet to see it. Hey the good news is we weren't robbed yet like the Kings were in that Lakers series (early 2000s) where they were up 3-2 and kobe had food poisoning... Well obviously 05 Mavs/Rockets was bad but I feel Webber and Co were robbed even more, I mean they were a game away from the finals.
I guess if players knew when the ****ing refs were going to swallow their whistle maybe it'd be better. But sometimes they do call fouls in the last 2 mins... Maybe they should just make the last 2 mins like nfl/nhl rules and let the players tackle/fight. Then we wouldn't have to worry about flops either
Sorry, that was meant to be addressed to another poster claiming he wasn't going to get that call late in ball games.
