Last week is kinda old news right now... the situation has probably changed since then. Last week we also had rumors that the Rockets were close to a deal with James; look at how well those rumors have borne out (so far). Right now we just don't know.

In addition to it being last week, I don't think anyone in the world thought Terry was leaving. That's a "scoop" that anyone on this board could've made.

Does anyone know Mike's Houston address?

If you do, can you send a copy of this to Mike's wife along with a forged message from Cuban that says "Looking forward to you joining us for a good time"...

Follow that up with a invitation by Eddie Griffin to film sessions if he joins the Wolves.

So on wednesday we finalize the Battier trade, and Mike James makes his decision.

I have a feeling that CD offered him a bigger contract than Mavs did. That makes him hesitating between money and championship. If these two offers are same, there's no reason he choose our team to sign with.:(

I think Mike James who Mike James thats who is just postponing his announcment until after the all-star festivities are over. He'll get more pub this way.

Both teams can offer money and a championship (anything's possible with a healthy Yao and TMac). But only one is in his backyard. And only one showed up at his door to recruit him.

    Add to that:

Mike, like we talked about in Vegas, Dallas would be a perfect spot so you can stay close to the wife, but not "too close" so that you can't get away from her when you need to. I know how pregnant women are. Leaving behind those in laws you said you hate so much would be a bonus

    Sincerely,

    Mark
PS-- Went back to Pittsburgh yesterday, good times, "Skye" for Bare Elegance says hi.

So I guess the drama will continue until Wednesday. At least it gives everyone something to get worked up about. It just wouln't be as fun if we already new what was going down. If you were Mike wouldn't you wait it out? Hell I know I would.

When a team offers him 5yrs.

Even T-Mac (http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=114993) admitted the Rockets were a couple of pieces away even if they sign Mike James. From a winning perspective Mavericks is easily the best option.

Good point, he has nothing to lose but might gain some more wining and dining between now and Wednesday night.

Wednesday should certainly be an interesting day for us Rocket fans. Tomorrow is going to go sooooo slooooooow. :(

The deal making is going on as we speak. Agreements are being made. The next 48 hours could be crucial for the Rockets, looking at plans B, C, D, F, and G-undier.

You are on the right path. The e-mail that gets James may become a classic of Rockets deal-making lore. Don't hold back... go forth and expand on Cuban's doom! And more incriminating photos! There is nothing as insecure as a wife who's pregnant. I went through the experience twice with my own sweetie. Ruthlessness is the watchword. Dastardly, yes, but this calls for drastic measures.

Dallas has the most exciting crowd and game experiance for every home game. Houston has the Mourge at the Toyota Center. One more item in favor of Dallas.

Item in favor of Houston. 1 billion Chinese vote every year for the All Star Team members and they love the good Houston players. Remmember when Steve Francis got all those votes. If Houston does well it will be the most popular team in the world of sports.

This is a myth and as a Rocket fan it is your duty to correct the unknowing. You definately should not continue to perpetuate the myth yourself.

FYI: Throwing out all internet votes, Yao still beats Shaq in all-star balloting.
