We are asking for your help in locating former Katy Times staff member and current Katy High School tennis coach and teacher Scott Kaiser, who has been missing since Saturday morning.

Kaiser was last seen by his wife at their home Saturday morning in Green Trails. He drives a 2000 silver Chevy Malibu with a Texas license plate number of 454-YDY and Cy-Fair High School stickers on the back windshield.

Kaiser is 49 years old, 5-feet, 9-inches tall and about 170 pounds with brown-grey hair.

If you have ANY information on his whereabouts, please call the Harris County Constable Precinct Five Dispatch line at 281-463-6666 and ask for Deputy. Phyllis Hillman.

This comment was a failure in execution however I agree. Pics would definitely help. This BBS can be a good resource as its members are spread out through TX and beyond.

I wish you luck in finding him and I will hope and pray for the best.

My sister is so torn up about this. Coach Kaiser was her mentor for three years in high school. I only met him once but I could tell he had such a passion for teaching, coaching tennis, and journalism. He will be sorely missed in Katy.

Wow. Dead in his car with no signs of foul play...

Sounds like a heart attack. How old was he?

It says in the article that he was 49. Young, but not too young to suffer from a heart attack or something similar. Sad story. RIP.

I find that very hard to believe, considering how devoted he was to his wife and kids. Not to mention he had get-togethers at his home all the time for his tennis team and threw parties at school for his students. It doesn't seem plausible, but then again, who knows.

I don't know about his case, but in general you would be surprised the kind of people who commit suicide. There was this Indian kid at UT a few years ago that killed himself, and from what I heard he had a lot friends and seemed like a normal guy.
