Mo's in my old stomping grounds (Milan). How ridiculous is it that Milan's professional basketball team is name Milano Armani Jeans?

LOL so funny yet so true about Scola. Taylor was extremely refined on the offensive end. If he had a work ethic and desire to be better he probably could have been a Chris Webber light cause as you mentioned he definitely had the tools.

Before his injury Mo was one of the nastiest power dunkers in the league. Did you watch that vid posted in the tread?

Judging from those highlight videos, no wonder the Rockets signed him. He dunked on mostly Rockets!

Good for him. After his injury, He was not the same player He was. He could have been at least a great role player. :p

Sure; but I remember an overweight, lazy guy. Pretty much afixed to the floor. Yeah, he could score - but not in the flow, rather one-on-one breaking down his guy. The whole world stopped.

He had some skills. He squandered them. Unlike Stevie and Cat and Sammy and Robert I remember nothing really positive about MoTay.

Luis has a better jumpshot in my opinion, and better up and under moves that i really don't remember mo displaying. Mo Taylor does have him beat on footwork and handles by a wide margin.

when mo was at michigan and skinny, he looked like a small foward.

He was very good right up to the point where he signed a good contract. After he got the contract, his gameplay decreased dramatically. No heart.

Pretty much. We gave him 6yrs and $48M, and he turned out to be a no-rebounding, jump shooting pansy. A true powerless forward.

He tore his achilles after the first season he was here and his career tanked after that. His first season here, he was splitting time with KT from what I recall and didn't get many minutes. Whether or not it was because he was content with the contract or not, I'm not sure, but blowing out your achilles didn't help matters any later on.

Wow - he very nearly commits a foul on every dunk with that off-arm clear out.

totally. I remember his first few years in the league I still rememberd him as an SF and kept thiking he was playing out of position.

Mo was the best 1st quarter player in the NBA for awhile (I'm not sure what the hell that really means, but he'd routinely get 13-15 pts in the 1st quarter) but then he'd disappear the rest of the game. He's actually pretty nasty in NBA live 2004 :p

I never understood how someone with such a huge build and massive shoulders couldn't grab a freaking rebound. Never mind his total lack of defense.

Wasted talent, but he was fun to watch on occasion.

He thinks he is going to average 26/14 in the Italian league next year? Man this guy is totally delusional.

Mo Taylor used to be really good down low. He had his best season here two years before Yao arrived. The Rockets had a winnning season that year. A lot of talent, but injuries and his work ethic got him out of here. We had some good dunkers back then: Mo, Cato, Stevie and Cat.

Anyone remember Joaquin Hawkins. He played for the Rockets, I think 02-03. When we first got Brooks, he reminded me of someone. Now I remember, and it was Hawkins. He looks just like him!
