Jordan could have still won a championship if Dominique Wilkens started at small forward with the bulls. what Wilkens lacks in Pippen's defense, and rebounding; He more than makes up for it in scoring. :D

If there's a "most over-rated of all time" poll, Scottie Quitten's name should be on the top of the list.

I'm surprised no one mentioned where Karl Malone was ranked (although I guess that would be under 'NBA Dish'. I, for one, definitely appreciated the guy's take on Malone, although I think Barkley should be above him.

    No. 4 KARL MALONE
Why such a low rating for a two-time MVP and the second-leading scorer ever?

Because Karl Malone was a choke artist. In the clutch, he'd miss free throws and take ill-advised shots. For example, instead of pounding his way into the lane from his customary station on the left box, Malone would spin baseline and uncork a low-percentage jumper.

And don't pay any attention to his being named three times to the NBA's All-Defensive Team (1997-99). In truth, he was strong enough to move any low-post player several feet from his favorite spot. But his lateral movement was always poor, meaning any opponent who could turn and face would always wind up with a clean look. Also, Malone's pet ploy was to swipe at the ball while his opponent was preparing to shoot. Sometimes Malone was successful, but more often than not, his gamble would be futile, and he would be left exposed and off balance, placing his teammates in jeopardy.

Malone was never anything more than a good player. John Stockton's crafty passes are responsible for turning Malone into a cinch Hall-of-Famer.

Some of you guys are letting your hate for Pippen dictate what you think of him, what he did here on the Rockets is irrelevant to what he did on the Bulls, what he meant to those championship teams, and why he's considered one of the greatest small forwards of all time. 100% irrelvant!

Jordan and Jamal Mashburn still win 6 championships? Wilkin's scoring would make up for his lack of rebounding, passing, and most importantly, defense?

Learn to seperate Pippen the Rocket with Pippen the Bull and you might see how great he was.

Agreed. I'm still waiting for anyone to name another SF that was not a scorer. In case ya haven't noticed, that wasn't what the bulls needed.

on talent we was one of the best. if you go by championships we was one of the best. i hate the guy, and i don't think he wouldn't done anything on his own, let alone hall of fame. i will put my hate aside and say he was talented enough to be top 5.

Scottie Pippen is the quittingest quitter of all times. If there was a top 50 quitters of all time list for the NBA, he would be on top of the list. Is he a good player? yes. Is he a good teammate? NO. 3rd greatest SF of all time? Hell no. Larry Bird, Elgin Baylor, Dominique Wilkens, Tracy McGrady, DR J, Worthy, Rick Barry. I'd even take Lebron James, or Carmelo Anthony over Quitten in his prime as well. Quitten is like the number 2 receiver in the NFL, a la Peerless Price, that everyone thinks is a stud, until they are asked to be the man, then they are just another good player.

Is any one here who thinks Pippen should be on the list actually no anything about basketball. Lets look at his career in retrospect. Pippen was always a b**** who was nothing but a role player to Jordan. He at one point, was good on defense, had quick hands and could run the floor well. But can anyone seriously say that he was ever a go to player or could create his own shot when needed to at the end of a game. Lets think about this for a minute. When Jordan left the Bulls Kukoc was the man that stepped up at the end of the game while Pippen sat in the corner crying because not only did he suck balls, but he had an abnormally disgustingly large ugly nose. Dominique Wilkens could **** out better games than pippen could ever dream of and he didn't even make the top 50 of all time. Then Pippen goes to the Rockets and everyone is trying to claim that he is the best all around player in the game now that Jordan is gone and he has one hell of a year. He averaged 14.5 pts, 6 assists and 6.5 boards. That wouldn't be bad if you were a pretty good player and not an overated b**** that cries all the time. Not to mention that not only is Pippen nicknamed QUITTEN PIPPEN

Not to mention that not only is Pippen nicknamed QUITTEN PIPPEN, but I would also like to refer to him as Trippin Pippen because if I am not mistaken in game 2 of the 99 first round series versus the Los Angeles Lakers the game was in our hands until the "most overrated player of all time" choked Buckner style and fell over like the little slut that he is. He then layed there in the fetile position and watched as our lead went from 2-0 in a best of 5 series to 1-1. Yeah we did lose in 4, and not that we couldn't of lost, but being up 2-0 we shouldn't of lost. Not only is Scottie Pippen the ****tiest and most overhyped player to ever come to the Rockets, but he is simply the MOST OVERRATED PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY. I would rather have Otis Thorpe than his ugly ass anyday, and one more thing. The Rockets would have murdered the Bulls those 2 years because Olajuwon was a manchild and no one could stop him. As far as those 2 years, he was more dominant than ever, and no way was Jordan or the Bulls going to get in his way.

Still calling Scottie Pippen "Quitten." How childish indeed. A few Rocket fans really need to grow up and move on with their lives. It's been six years since he was a Rocket. GROW UP AND GET A VOCABULARY. There are better ways to express yourself than using the H_ _ _ word.

There aren't sufficient words in the English language to explain everything that's wrong with the above post.
