    So much success the Knicks didn't offer him a contract after the season? So much success the Knicks refused to match an offer made by another team after the season?

    This is what the Knicks and his teammates thought of him after that 'tremendous success.' Clearly they had a very different opinion of his abilities than you did.

    Knicks hated him

    Melo, Jr Smith, and that shumpert guy said if Knicks signed. Lin , that would demand trade

    Amar'e also told Knicks Lin. Should not be a Knicks and entire locker room would have problem if he was back

    Rockets fans never wanted him. We wanted Dragic. Not re-signing Dragic because of the player option has proven to be a huge mistake.

    That’s incorrect
    The Rockets fans and everyone else wanted to see him play a full season

    @CometsWin

    and it was a bust

    same with his pal Carmelo

    They would have figured him out.

    It was a good few weeks of play that Mike DAntoni created for him against some weak teams

    the Miami game was the end of his run

    out of the league is out of the league

    A great player is always great

    Harden on OKC, Houston or wherever , he’s all star
    Same with a Westbrook

    New York Knicks would have been a better fit. They don't seem to care at all about winning anymore, so Lin would have been the perfect player. Lots of camera time and fans who care only about him and lots of losing as the impact of the extended playing time.

    LOL . . . those Lin times were really fun on clutchfans . . . I don't miss it though not one bit . . . and it seems forever ago now.

    * Congratulations, 2019 NBA Champion Jeremy Lin ;)

    The Rockets offer was constructed precisely to make it so the Knicks couldn't match it.

    If you don't think Lin was successful there, you weren't really paying much attention...and therefore not worth continuing the discussion. He went from nothing to an NBA sensation. Yes, that can be short lived, but Lin was also smart enough to recognize the advantage of staying there, and also enjoying the media coverage being in NY would provide.

    As for your linked article:

    So, not sure why you posted it, because it demonstrates everything I was saying, and contradicts what you were saying. But, thank you!

    Can all the LOF now delete themselves off this site??

    Thank you Lin for finally saying something without dragging Jesus Christ and All Asians and without crying like a dog who's owner forgot to feed him organic chicken liver

    Leave LOF
    Lin said you can

    What's the measure for success for the Knicks?

    A gimmicky winning streak and no playoff success?

    They aren't retiring his number there. Even James Dolan ain't that dumb.

    You know who the coach was there? Yes.

    A great player is great anywhere and for long and consistent career.

    What you saw was called a fluke cause he never replicated it again.

    @Zboy
    WHAT A STUPID PLAYER

    that's why nobody wanted him in the nba anymore

    There should never be a comparison to Yao either
    as far as I'm concerned

    Who said anything about success for the Knicks? We were talking about Lin, specifically.

    Ah, so your standard of a player worth keeping is you must retire his number? So, you think a team of 1, maybe 2 players is all you need?

    Relevance to the discussion?

    See above...so teams should only keep great players, and just let all the others go?

    He was no longer in that situation, so relevance to the discussion?

    We weren't talking about what happened after, we were talking about what happened while he was there.

    Wasn't drawing comparisons to ... anyone, so the point is?

    If you want to go down this route
    fine

    The Knicks didn't want to pay Lin as much as the Rockets because
    even the Knicks, who are known to overpay players, wouldn't do it for Lin

    Lin was successful
    He became rich and famous based on Mike D'Antoni's system for like 3 weeks and netted about 65 million dollars

    @CometsWin

    What do you want us to know about Lin that we don't know

    Yes, it's obvious he signed the Rockets offer. I'm asking what if he DIDN'T sign the offer after he got it.

    I'm thinking he would've just played for NYK (which he says is what he wanted!?) just with way less pay (which he clearly prioritized).

    yet the dumb sh*t gave up on a proven young PG Dragic, w 2+ yr starter experience w the Rox,
    in order to sign lin, FA w only 3 wks of NBA experience, to a poison-pilled FA contract

    the dumb sh*t insulted the intelligence of the Rox fans by comparing Lin to the likes of Iverson, CP3 an LBJ;
    so much for his supposed analytics !

    that underscores the stupidity of Morey, the dump sh*t

    @Clutch

    Hey boss, do you remember any real Rockets fan compare him to LeBron James?
    (besides this LOF making false claims ?)
