Wesley probably had his last good year in his first full season with us. He really slowed down after that.

And remember we traded Nachbar for him.

"Rocket great!!!!????" I don't think so. His number will not be retired anytime soon, like never. I was against the trade because by the time the Rockets got him his best years were over. Wasn't this the trade where Boki just got thrown in? He is starting for the Nets.

Good luck, David. You were a nice guy.

I wasn't a Wesley fan. But I loved that team we had. It was so much fun to watch. I miss JB and Sura so badly.

    Former Rockets great??!!!

You've got to be kidding me. Maybe if he could hit a shot we wouldn't have lost to Dallas in the playoffs.

One my least favorite 90s-00s players...

JVG's John Starks surrogate on the Rockets...

Wesley's biggest (and worst) NBA moment was racing Bobby Phills at high-speeds through regular city streets in Charlotte to get fast-food after practice, a ritual of theirs; Phills did not outlive this immature pastime. R.I.P.

    What are you talking about?

    David Wesley's FG% in 04-05: 40.4%
    David Wesley's FG% in 05-06: 40.3%.

What do you based your claim on?

He was a great role player. He had his best years with Charlotte. He was a true pro and gave everything he had left with us. I wish he had been a Rocket earlier in his career. I get the feeling that he will make a good coach someday.

"Great"? When was David Wesley ever "great"?

I loved him on the team until Jerry Stackhouse ran over him in the playoffs. He was next in line to Juwan Howard in terms of disposability.

Some of you find the negative in everything.

He was a defensive BEAST for the Rockets, and a consummate professional .

He was also a Texas great...dont forget about his days at Baylor...

and if I'm not mistaken, he started his career here in his first preseason. Forgive me if I'm wrong....

I bet he will go into coaching, and be damn good at it.
