    that's on the writers, not on Barkley. SNL hasn't been funny in years.

    barkley is horrible and obviously was late on several lines, but he makes it funny. plus, he is so willing to make fun of himself - gambler, bad golfer, fat...jordan or tiger would never allow themselves to be the butt of jokes like that.

    i thought it was really good overall and honestly, i cant think of a better athlete-hosted episode. i dont think there was a really weak skit in the batch. the racist mcgruber was hilarious. barkley and his choppy golf swing. my favorite was this one though...

    That was exactly what SNL always is: really hit-and-miss. Some skits (the ski lodge) were just awful, while some skits (Macgruber, golf swing) were really pretty good.

    With live sketch comdedy, you just kinda have to roll with the punches.

    LBJ is surprisingly media-savvy. His Daily Show interview with Jon Stewart earlier this season was pretty solid, too

    I watched the entire SNL episode, which is something I haven't done for...well, as long as I can remember, honestly. I thought it had a couple of "col" (chuckle out loud) moments :p but that was about it.

    Anyone else notice that the Barclay's Bank skit got totally cut off in the middle? I guess they ran out of time, but it seems like they'd have a better plan for that type of situation, rather than just killing a skit as it's being performed.

    MacGruber was awesome.

    yeah i think having to come on after the playoff game was a huge mistake considering your host sucks...i guess they had to cut it at the last second to fit their time slot...i did notice barkley sweating buckets in one skit though..i think it was the one with the pole dancer...

    there was some obvious miscues and chuck trying his best not to laugh at parts

    the reel movies bit was the funniest part i had a good laugh when in the lightning round when chuck said

    may the force be "mass times acceleration!"

    i was hoping for better but i really didnt have huge expectations
