I think his time as a closer has come to an end. His whip is crazy. Glad Dana got something for him and we don't have to watch him give us stressful loaded bases eighth innings anymore. We just have to watch abreu gives us stressful eighths now.

    Still appreciate him though.

Who, in your thoughts, were the best Astros managers in history?

Dusty is the only Astros manager to make the playoffs every year. Also the only one to make the ALCS every year. But hey, keep hating on the HOFer.

I do. He had a stroke in the dugout. I had a soft spot for him
    Maybe that's why

Hinch, Dierker, garner were my favorites. Dusty is probably better than the moron managing during the bad times that was a former football coach and didn’t know the rule book. Maybe also better in game than Espada who seems like a moron and better maybe at clubhouse management than Espada. At least Espada knows how to fill out a lineup card with the right players on it most of the time, which is like the easiest job a manager has, and one Dusty failed at every damn day basically.

Dierker was the epitome of "roll the ball out, let them play". It worked really well in the regular season.

Those teams weren't as talented as the Braves teams and it didn't help that Biggio/Bagwell sucked during the playoffs.

Dusty nice guy. I trust him with wine selections, but not a lineup card.
