Just realized, This is Correa's 10th year now and he only has 1122 hits. As good as he is I think his time off the field keeps him out of the HOF conversation. I'd be surprised if he gets to 1800 hits for his career.
I don’t know. You are probably right but he is only 29. Sometimes guys spend their 20s hurt then learn how to not get hurt or learn how to play thru injuries, or even just finally have a long run of good luck with health. He’s at 37 fwar and if he gets to 50 the hof convo gets interesting. 7-8 more years of even 2-3 win seasons would have him over 300 HR and 50 fwar, 2 thresholds I think will become new benchmarks by the time Correa retires.
We'll see, but I don't think he can stay healthy year in and out for 8 more years. I see him playing in only 70-100 games in multiple years to rest his ailments, foot and reoccurrence of any back issues.

Half baked, burnt, fried, toast, burnt toast, basted, cooked...we have a myriad of cooking analogies to describe a baseball situation.
I don't understand the lure of a pitcher that has an ERA north of 6+ since 2021 and even 5.21 that year. And don't say a healthy arm because they could pull up any scrub from the minors and let them get pummeled for 5 innings a game if they wanted to, then just release them after.
Batting .103 through 29 games this year? Sounds like a defensive minded Astros signing already. Let's bring him back to play first. We went to 3 WS out of 4 years and I'm almost definitely somewhat uncertainly positive he's the reason. *fact check*

Who will replace Dubon? Whitcomb? Kessinger? I like Doobie quite a bit but those guys don't last once they are making over $5M per year. On a side note, I think Dubon is being over used. Last 3 weeks 75 wRC+ w/ a 13.4% K rate 3 weeks prior to that: 106 wRC+ w/ 7.7% K rate He had a day off Tuesday after playing 20 games in a row then played again last night. His OPS is the lowest it's been since May 18th and has struck out in 3 consecutive games for the first time since August of last year. Give the guy a 3 game week or 4 out of 8 stretch.
We got to get there first, and we need him to get there. I'm just talking about playing him 7 or 8 out of 10 games and not every day.
His replacement isn't on the team. Whitcomb? or FA/Trade this offseason. Yes, he's being overused IMHO, but I understand why this is happening.
